...and let me be clear, I'm not saying that Nebraska would or even could develop/utilize talent better than those other places.  What I guess I'm really getting at is it really shows that there is more to the recruiting game than just chasing stars and player rankings.

Finding a good fit is at least as important as talent.

Wherever young Master Cornish chooses to pursue his college career, I wish him all the best of luck.

I have no clue where he is going to go and I'm not sure anybody else does as well.  Robin is basing his prediction based off a UNLV writer who said that UNLV very rarely loses recruits when they bring them in for visits and the fact that UNLV was the last visit.  Correct me if I'm wrong, but I don't think Cornish has shown his cards at all here, he has had positive things to say about all three visits.  The kid could pick any of the three schools and I wouldn't be surprised.

For all of those talking about the bright lights and entertainment in Vegas, let me remind you that Jordan took his parents with him on all three visits.  Hopefully that factor will help him stay grounded and not make an emotional decision coming off a visit high or go to whichever school will be the most fun.

No, I am very confident he is going to UNLV.

I wonder how he'll feel next year when UNLV has to make room for their next "top priority" recruit.  I can't see Jordan playing much with 5-star wings Rashad Vaughn and Dwayne Morgan also coming in.

Deville Smith is a senior-to-be and was the starting PG most of the year, averaged 10 points per game, and they are just willing to run him off for a 3-star recruit?  That would raise a red flag if I were Jordan or his parents.

It'll be interesting to see what happens with this kid.  You don't get the next 5-star players to commit by not giving the last 5-star a boatload of playing time.  I suspect reality will hit Jordan cold in the face in a year or two and he'll see that he was just a temporary place holder when his current and soon to be former best friends on the coaching staff clear him from the roster in order to make room for their next top priority.

Cornish rubbed me the wrong way on twitter. I'm not upset he's not coming. Seems like a punk and has a lot of growing up to do imo

Not so much a punk, but yes, a lot of growing up to do.

He should be more mature in a couple of years when he transfers

There is also who he has been recently following on twitter.

It's basically all been UNLV.

It would be a major shock if he says anything but UNLV on Tuesday.

Boy, talk about squandering talent.  It could be argued that nobody does less with more than UNLV.  Georgetown might be close, but man...

That's the book of Rice: Great guy, great recruiter, crappy coach.

He's bringing in 4-5 stars and half the UNLV fans want him out.

how do we fill the last 2 scholarships if cornish doesn't come here? We could probably use another guard and big on our roster.

We wait for more transfers to crawl out of the woodwork. Then we give them to our walkons when that doesn't work.
