miles sounded extremely confident that we were going to land some big guys in his spring game interview.

I think we have somebody locked up that nobody knows about yet.

Is that common out of season? For someone to give a silent commitment before doing so verbally?

It was an interview with Will Shields on btn. He asked Miles if Nebraska was going to be better in 2014-2015

Miles said something like: we should be much better inside next year from our recruits that we are bringing in.

Not sure if anybody saw this....the guard is transferring from USC and is eligible for one year next year right away.  Averaged 17.8 PPG.  Guys a baller.

Obviously I have NO idea if NU is even looking or if he would even come this way, but its kind of fun to see who comes and goes from schools.

CSU Grad transfer Dwight Smith re-tweeted someone who basically thought DS would end up at Nebraska w/ Tim Miles (once again).... [ I'll have to look it up later.]

You'd have to think that DS is our "are you kidding me we didn't fill our scholarship allotment again" player.  It's be rather ODD to sign him.

No doubt. Tim did say that 'odd pieces' were involved, but perhaps that comment referred to Molinari.

Nevada fans seem pretty upset about his loss.

However looks like they just loosened up where he can transfer

He's from Cali...he might look to go back there.

My takeaway is that if we're after Huff, it must mean we don't have a silent commit from anyone else.

Nebraska still has 3 open schollies, who's the other known 'N' guy(s) besides Moses Ayegba? Would that be a for-sure-healthy Deng Deng or mere speculation?

Robin commented on HOL that Huff would be a perfect fit for the 3rd open spot. That leads me to believe there's something that he knows that's currently off the record otherwise that response seems odd.

That could be.

From a different prospective, it could mean he's perfect for the third spot because the second spot needs to go to a 5th-year transfer (Ayegba), and we probably aren't getting two of those, leaving the third spot for a transfer who must sit out (since this player theoretically isn't coming off an injury like Deng).

What would be the purpose of a silent commit at this point (after signing day)?

The silent commitment, I presume, would be from a transfer who isn't ready to announce or maybe he has to get his credits figured out?

That scenario would make sense. Can you recruit a player that hasn't announced he's transferring? Or is that like tampering in the pros?

Only if the player contacts the 'new' school in the first place... not the other way around.
