Creighton's 30-point loss was the largest blowout in the tournament.....taking the title away from Colorado who Pitt beat by 29.

Pretty sure you meant to write that Colorado lost to Pitt by 29.

Sucks to be either CU.

Are we just talking about favored teams and/or teams that were comparable seeds?  Because Wisconsin smoked American by 40.

I don't tweet and the message board is like a bad train wreck that I cannot help watching.  As for the guys I mentioned they have been banned multiple times each here.  Maybe that is why I don't care for them.  And finally what I read should not bother you.

AH!  My point exactly!

It doesn't bother me what you read.

It bothers me that you post the thoughts of the people that have been banned on here multiple times.  It sort of defeats the purpose and it makes this place suck.

Dimes, like it or not, it's a rivalry and will continue to be a rivalry until we start winning in Omaha.  Ever since Danny Nee's last year, they've basically gotten the better of us, and the best we've been able to muster is winning on our home floor for the three times we had home games with them that Doc was here.  Other than that, and an NIT win under Collier, we haven't beaten them in Omaha and we've lost to them regularly at home.

Now, I'm hoping and expecting that all will soon change.  But, in the meantime, we've taken quite a bit of abuse at the hands of their fans and have for years.  I don't think it's the least bit surprising that Husker hoops fans would have Creighton and their fans and a little redemption and perhaps even revenge at the forefront of our minds.

You seem to be on somewhat of a one-man mission to get us all to stop talking about Creighton and their fans, a mission our site's founder doesn't seem to share with you.  I know YOU don't like talking about Creighton.  But some of the rest of us do.  I'm not sure what the harm is or why it seems to bother you so much.

What is the life expectancy of this thread?

It's starting to veer into being off-topic again now, IMO.

Well, if you just go by what we talk about most as a reflection of what interests us the most, you'd have to say that Creighton is a topic that's right up there at the top of the list.  It's basketball.  It's in-state.  We play them every year.  We compete for a lot of the same recruits.  Not sure why it should be such a taboo topic.  This is, after all, a discussion board where people come to discuss things, no?

Why can't the discussion happen where it belongs: the college basketball forum?

Fair enough.

I'm not complaining, I'll read whatever is posted, just don't want to see this board devolve into a sophomoric name-calling crapfest is all.

I don't know.  Ask the board's founder, Dave Brandon.  He's the one who started this thread in this forum.

Let's clarify.

I don't mind talking about Creighton. I've done so several times in this post alone.

I do mind talking about Creighton fans.  Obsessively.

Thus, are you asking me why it bothers me that there is a palatable effort on this board of petty and pathetic posts about how petty and pathetic posters are on a different board?  Are you asking why it bothers me that so many threads are derailed by people letting us know what Creighton homers think?

There are fans of both programs. There are Creighton fans. And then there are Husker haters, the ones who are right now trying to spin a 30 point loss in the round of 32 as being better than a 14 point loss to the same team in the round of 64. Nobody cares what you read but we are just wondering why anyone wants to troll by proxy on behalf of the haters. Its like opening a Tupperware, finding a revolting odor, and then having everyone else take a sniff.

Doug McBuckets kind of has the same legacy as T-Magic in my opinion.

He scored a lot of points but never really won anything.

He played great against lower or similar competition but always seemed to shrink on a big stage.

Baylor was perhaps one of, if not CU's biggest game ever and their supposed best player ever didn't show up... at all.

They failed to win the Bubble East, they failed to win the Bubble East tournament when they got to play a 10 seed, 7 seed and a 4 seed, talk about having the conference tourney handed to you on a silver platter.  And they failed to make the sweet 16.

They don't get to hang a banner this year and this season was by any real yard stick a failure for Creighton.

Nah, you are overreacting big time.  This place most certainly doesn't suck.  Easily the best fan message board I have ever seen.  And you are also overreacting big time on the amount of threads derailed by commenting on Creighton fans.  Where are they all?  Nowhere, other than threads someone started about Creighton.  If they aren't to be discussed then don't allow those threads.  I don't believe I have ever started one anyway.
