Is there any safer bet than Bo Ryan and Wisconsin finishing in the top 4 of the B1G?

Wisconsin defense not as good this year...offense is better and a bit faster in tempo though.

Will the Husker defenders sag and double too much and give Wisconsin open 3 ball shots?

Pitchford can keep with Kaminsky...can he do so without getting into foul trouble?

Wisconsin plays a small rotation of players...can we get them in any sort of foul trouble?

Transition buckets and FTs are something that Wisconsin doesn't easily give up.  How is Nebraska going to score in this game?

Fire away

So they are starting 1,2,3 at under like 6'4" right?

In that case, petteway and shields need to park their butts in the paint and abuse that.

Just have Walter out on the 3 point line taking Kaminsky out of the lane. I don't think Walt will have any problems with that

Who guards Dekker, Brust, Jackson?  I don't think we can zone Wisconsin, they have too many shooters.  It's going to take a good offensive effort to win this game, I don't believe defense alone can win this game.

I'm less concerned about getting them into foul trouble as I am about us staying out of foul trouble.  I love Petteway to death, but he has to stop the unnecessary fouls tomorrow.  I don't know what the magic number is, but this is a game where we are probably going to have to score 65+ points to win and we need Petteway to be out there attacking on both ends of the floor.

I think you game plan for Kaminsky and Dekker, but they are a balanced team.  I think it comes down to just making sure we are playing good team defense and closing out on shooters.

Miles said on his radio show that Wisconsin scares him because they spread you out and can make you scramble on defensive rotations. In watching a few of Wisconsin's games, they often play with four, and sometimes five guys, on the perimeter. I would think that stopping dribble penetration, which leads to the frantic defensive rotations, would be a primary emphasis. Make them attempt tough, contested shots in the lane rather than scramble and give up open threes.

Defensively, I saw Newbill and some of the guys from PSU get in the lane and to the basket with some regularity. Can Walt keep Kaminsky away from the basket and free up Shavon and Terran to get to the rim? We need to be aggressive attacking the basket and not settle for jumpers early in the shot clock without first making an attempt to get in the lane. That being said, it would make things much easier in the lane if Rey, Walt and the boys can knock down some shots.

I am getting nervous and psyched for this game just reading these posts!

Early line - Badgers by 3

One of the few times this B1G season that I've guessed an NU line too high, I was thinking it'd be 4 or 5. I guess NU is finally grabbing the attention of the oddsmakers. Covering 13 out of 17 times in league play will tend to do that.  ;)
