Part of it was attributed to the officiating, but I think we stepped backward just slightly in comparison to the Penn State game. At least in terms of intensity and really owning the game. This one just kind of gradually became our game as Purdue handed it to us with their poor shooting. Hopefully we can get that intensity back up going into Illinois. They're ready for us!

Fever I would say Purdue is also a better team than Penn State hence the perceived step back.

One place we've played fairly well at is champaign. I think we're fine for this game. Illinois still has an outside shot at the NIT, so they won't be sleepwalking.

Our guys know they could use one more road win, especially against a top 100 team. I think this is the best chance we have for that. I think the coaches and players know it, too.

Illinois has not shot the ball well from 3 point range,   Force them to shoot jump shots, and keep off the line, we have a great chance to steal a road victory.  If we can steal this one, we should be in some brackets.

Fixed that for you.

Fever, just curious, were you at the game or did you watch on TV?  In the Arena, it seemed that after the first media time out our intensity was every bit as strong as it was against Penn State

We just didnt make shots early...crowd was a little off. When some shots fell and dunks happened crowd got really going! Purdue has a big player in the middle who altered shots and we had to make adjustments which we did.

If we can play D like we have the last five games we will be fine. Need the huskers to really dig deep as this will be tough!

On TV. That could certainly make a difference. I really think 75% of it was attributed to the pace forced by the officiating crew, but it took awhile for us to really get into a groove.

Careful it is an important game but it is not a one and done deal a road win at Illinois or Indiana along with home wins against NW and Wisconsin should out us in.

19 wins I think does it.

20 for sure

How we get it is if either in regular season or big ten tourney.

My opinion only though

Nunn the freshman who had his RS pulled a month ago hit 6 threes in his last game. Nebraska needs to play well. Illinois is very athletic.

Nunn has been playing the entire year.  He just began starting a month ago.  Also, it was 5 threes.

He was the 2nd leading scorer for Illinois against us with 9.

Like Miles said last week, I think it is so key for us to play with a lead or close to it. Lot harder to make up 10 on the road than it is at PBA…. If we have the lead at the under 16 & under 12 in the first half, I like our chances…. Rayvonte going to be looking to shine though… Benny gonna get all up in his business!!!
