Forget girding the loins. I just do a quick marinade/rub with kosher salt, minced garlic, fresh ground black pepper, some fresh thyme and some olive oil and mash it all into a paste that I massage into the loin before I grill it or roast it. With some garlic mashed potatoes? Mmm mmm. It's comfort food. Which would be especially nice after that first loss.

So, anyway, I advocate grilling loins rather than girding them.

This Valpo team also was destroyed by Ohio St. last year and went 8-8 on the road.

They are favored to win the Horizon and make the tourney though that record didn't qualify them as an at-large last year.

If we were playing in Valparaiso I'd say it's definitely a loss. However we have puncher's chance at the Bob

The more and more I look at Valparaiso's team, the more and more I think we're going to lose, BTW. This is a solid team.

Yes - they are solid, and yes, this will be tough. If we can win, it will be a significant win for this program at this moment in time. But we will have to improve quite a bit between Sunday and Thursday. Andre, it is time to knock off that remaining rust. Will Shields be available?

This is a game where a strong inside post player (I'm looking at you Andre) would make a HUGE difference. They have a veteran club, but our big boys should give us a chance. Hopefully NOT a preview of things to come... As in getting run off the court at home
