Huskerpapa Posted January 21, 2014 Report Posted January 21, 2014 I believe it is important to praise the students tonight for their role in tonights victory. We are quick to pick on them, but tonight they did a fantastic job. I really liked the kids behind the basket...they did a great job with their free throw choreography. THANK YOU!!! doc1394 Posted January 21, 2014 Report Posted January 21, 2014 We were a joke to begin the 2nd half. Happy with the rest though. Thanks for the praise Quote
Silverbacked1 Posted January 21, 2014 Report Posted January 21, 2014 Yes thanks guys. Saw jadler and two others in the front row sport'n the "In Tim we trust shirts" hhcmatt, bobcat402 and HuskerFever 3 Quote
Shuttlesworth Posted January 21, 2014 Report Posted January 21, 2014 Amen. I'll go on record as having called the students out earlier in the week. Y'all brought it tonight! Keep it rolling! Quote
HuskerBB Posted January 21, 2014 Report Posted January 21, 2014 I agree. Students did a very nice job tonight and crowd was really more into the game tonight than any game at Pinnacle so far. Definitely a fun environment at PBA for this game. Quote
hhcmatt Posted January 21, 2014 Report Posted January 21, 2014 The biggest difference between the student section in this game and Michigan was that vs Ohio St the student section contained students. bobcat402, colhusker, Silverbacked1 and 2 others 5 Quote
Swan88 Posted January 21, 2014 Report Posted January 21, 2014 The students were awesome!!! Loved it. Quote
kldm64 Posted January 21, 2014 Report Posted January 21, 2014 The student section was incredible last night. Well done!!! Quote
REDZONEDAN Posted January 21, 2014 Report Posted January 21, 2014 Yep, the students were amazing, as was the rest of the crowd. We as fans need to bring it like that every night! Quote
HuskerFever Posted January 21, 2014 Report Posted January 21, 2014 This game almost made me forget that we are a stereotypical "football school." Quote
nebrasketball10 Posted January 21, 2014 Report Posted January 21, 2014 Keep the creative free throw choreography up. Hopefully the entire arena will join in critical situations. Oh, but make sure you know the call before throwing your confetti... whoops! Quote

No clue - I can't (or don't) afford football tickets. But I was just razzing them a bit... wasn't meant to be taken seriously. Quote
Section_316 Posted January 21, 2014 Report Posted January 21, 2014 I agree, I hope the FT cheorgraphy leads to more & more chants "Defense" "OOOOO" hopping, etc. would be awesome to get them involved because one it takes off, the momentum will just keep building! Quote
Silverbacked1 Posted January 21, 2014 Report Posted January 21, 2014 It was very good last night, now makes it even better! Quote
BDL415 Posted January 22, 2014 Report Posted January 22, 2014 They were great it was awesome to hear most of the arena doing the miss chant on the free-throws late in the game Quote
HuskerCager Posted January 22, 2014 Report Posted January 22, 2014 They were great, and I hope they are back in force like that for the rest of the year. But someday, I'd love to have our students reserve storming the floor for wins over teams with losing streaks of less than three. Quote

I don't want to kill off the enthusiasm. I just think storming the floor every time we beat a rated (or even a non-rated) team at home tells the nation, and more importantly recruits, that we don't expect to win here very often. Let's act like we belong in the Big Ten. Quote
Silverbacked1 Posted January 22, 2014 Report Posted January 22, 2014 In the last two years Indiana students have stormed the court twice. Now once it was against the #1 team, but they have a bunch of pedigree and they still did it, so once again I think we let the young'n have their fun. Quote
Swan88 Posted January 22, 2014 Report Posted January 22, 2014 Still want to see the slow-motion rush-the-court that Tim Miles suggested late last season. 49r and NeHoops 2 Quote

It also might bring more students back to games after they rushed! I had adrenaline rushing through me the entire game and rushing the court shot it through the roof!! Kids love the rush and hopefully they keep coming back for it!!! Quote
Silverbacked1 Posted January 22, 2014 Report Posted January 22, 2014 Know my son and his buddy left our seats in 322 to be on the court. So if you saw two guys leave from my section at the 1:00 mark they weren't trying to beat the traffic. Also looked for ya Ben, but you know everybody kind of looks the same in a jumping crowd. Quote
ladyhusker Posted January 22, 2014 Report Posted January 22, 2014 My 62-year-old dad and his 62-year-old buddy considered rushing the court...but thought it might look a little odd if they were the only "grown-ups" on the court. But they've never gotten to do that before and were a little bummed to NOT go. (this is one reason I love my dad.) NeHoops 1 Quote
