The 1620 Afternoon show has gone from being one of the best to not so much.

Agree 100%.  It's scary that Bishop is the lead guy now.  Curious to see who they hire to be his full time cohost.

I got so sick of the show that I started listening to Unnecessary Roughness on 1480 to fill the time till Mike'l Severe's show starts up.  But I really like the show so I may stay.  They talk a bunch of Husker basketball on 1480 and even have a pregame show for each game.

Mike Welch has been doing a nice job on 93.7 as well.

"On the assumption that 10-8 is enough for the Huskers, they're now just ahead of 50% (a 9:8 favorite) to make the tournament. Their next five games are all against the bottom five before finishing at home against Wisconsin; 4-2 (which would get them to 10-8) is certainly achievable."

This article starts out interesting and just mentions defense and the ESPN writer says...

"I wondered how the Huskers had pulled off such a dramatic turnaround, so I came to Lincoln to find out. Over the course of an afternoon spent talking to Miles and his staff, I learned that part of the credit for Nebraska's 180 may go to, of all people, Cincinnati coach Mick Cronin." Then you have to be an insider to learn the rest...OK you INsiders...whats it say?

1. Tim miles commending Benny on improving his TO rate and defense

2. Rivers is improving as a rebounder over the past few games, but still needs to get better

3. miles talks about how he adopted some defensive principles from Mick Cronin at Cincinnati

4.Miles says that he has starting sending less guys to the offensive glass because we aren't as successful as he wants, but at the same time is helping our defense out
