I’m gonna call it the “George Gervin” Factor, with Brice Locked In we have a chance against anyone in that B1G Tournament.

He's why I'm a Spurs fan. Blew 3-1 conference finals lead to Washington Bullets in 1978-79 season. Pretty sure I've been questioning reffing since then.

Just blow the doors off of Iowa and whoever's next in Indy. Make it a possibility of dancin' in a week's time, please and thank you. We need Brice to carry us and Juwan as his side-kick. Maybe a guy like Essegian can get hot this next week, as well. And some type of post presence would be a nice bonus. Rebound the ball, take care of the ball, and shoot & defend well. I'm not asking for much. 😉 GBR

Very Familiar, I could get Spurs & Nuggets Games on AM Radio in Superior Nebraska. Most people would be surprised as you mentioned the Spurs were in the EAST Conference. So many All Time Great Players….#GBR SIX Year Anniversary of No Quit Sunday vs Iowa.

I used to listen to 1980s Spurs ballgames on the radio in central NE, as well.

Doesn't KPI account for margin of victory? The others don't. So of course they will result in different rankings. I don't understand his argument for it being "fundamentally flawed."

I think his biggest gripe is that the KPI was designed by a guy who works at Michigan State and helps with B1G scheduling. Conflict of interest type thing. His chart, he tries to claim, shows the B1G being “favored”. He thinks anyways.

Has anyone seen NIT projections ?

I really hope we don't play in that stupid College Basketball Crown Tournament.

Each team that participates in the Crown gets $1 million in NIL, so we most definitely will be competing in it.

That, and FOX has investments in it. They have a JV with the Big Ten. I'd imagine they'd seek a team out like Nebraska for multiple reasons.

The timing of this tournament is interesting.  It runs from March 31st to April 6th which is the window between the Elite 8 games and the Final 4.  That would give two extra weeks of practice before the tournament, which hopefully wouldn't create opt outs.  And, I wonder if the prize money is divided up amongst the current team or is put in the coffers for next year or future years.  I couldn't find anything on that and the references to prize money is pretty vague online.  Hopefully a moot point and we just make the big boy tournament.

Seems to be pretty much a consensus among bracketologists that we're currently in the first 4 out. Never would've thought we'd be anywhere near the conversation after going 1-5 in those last 6 games. Some bracketologists still have us in Dayton. So, if we beat Iowa on Sunday and Northwestern on Wednesday I am going to have to prepare myself for heartbreak on Selection Sunday. I'd almost rather be out of the conversation completely than be holding my breath the entire selection show.

Beating Iowa and Northwestern isn't going to do anything for us, so I wouldn't even sweat it. Maybe if we picked off Purdue or Wisco after that.

Sure, but if we are currently in the first 4 out in the eyes of the committee, and IF some of the last 4 in teams slip up this weekend/next week, not losing to Iowa and Northwestern could do a whole lot for us.

Beating them two at least puts us in the conversation to at least be mentioned in the last 4 in first 4 out portion.

Kudos to AM radio and those 50,000-watt "Flamethrowers"! An era that, unfortunately, is hanging on by the tips of it's fingernails. I remember those war of words on KOMA in Oklahoma City between NU and OU fans every November.

Thanks! Hopefully you doing this instead of me brings better results LOL.

That CSU vs Boise matchup is juicy. I think CSU is further away and on the road, so I think we want them.

I think Vandy and Georgia should probably be marked "Both teams" and I think Georgia is more bubbly than Vandy. So go Vandy!

There are some bubble in/out battles for sure.

To even be in the conversation I think Nebraska has to beat Iowa and then make at least the semis.  Too bad we didn't find a way to close even 1 of the past 3 games.  Would be looking pretty close if they would have got Michigan or Ohio State.

Good results last night on the bubble.  CSU's win over last 4 in/first 4 out Boise was damaging to Boise and likely leaves them on the wrong side.  CSU has widely been shown in next 4 out lists so this will push them closer to the cut line but likely on the wrong side as well.  The committee was not kind to the MW conference last year and hopefully that trend holds.

VCU also lost at home to Dayton.  The A-10 is only going to get 1 bid and we should still cheer for VCU to win their tournament as they are the only team with a possible at large worthy resume.  However, the loss last night was very damaging to their at large profile as most of their metrics aren't great.  If they lose in the A10 tournament, they are no guarantee to receive a berth so last night's loss really hurt them.

We should be big fans today and rooting hard for Duke, Providence, Texas (puke), and Nevada among others to beat fellow bubble teams.  An under the radar rooting interest would be Drake.  They would be very much on the bubble if they lose in the MVC tournament so let's just hope they take care of business tonight against Belmont.
