I get that people have their reservations about recreating what was a sacred atmosphere in 2014 vs. Wisconsin, but I feel like as fans we have a duty to perform here.

It probably won't happen, but I think a similar approach is in order for this game. This is a do or die, we come out flat and lose, NIT here we come. We dominate this game, we may not even have to win the Michigan game to be a lock. We know that the fans have had an impact on our home record this year. We might as well give this team a salute for breaking every expectation that the entire CBB community had for the team.

I guess we will see what happens. But my question is: "Why not?"

Is it that sacrilegious to make season-defining games as energetic as possible? I think not.
I'm sure many have opinions on this, so tell me why I'm wrong.

Hopefully the combo of good weather and time to enjoy the rail yard again will lead to a rowdy environment.  I didn’t think the Minnesota crowd was bad, and there were times when it seemed the arena was on their feet.

Like you said, you can’t recreate No Sit Sunday.  However, getting the crowd on their feet more often than not will be huge.

I mentioned this in the Minny post game, but I thought the media team did a nice job during one time out late keeping the crowd on their feet.  Hope that continues!

I don’t know that we’re 100% locked should we win Sunday, as TRank still gives us an 82% chance should we win.  However, a loss puts us squarely on the bubble and possibly the wrong side.  I’d rather avoid going to Michigan with our tourney hopes hinging on that one game.  Win tomorrow and we can play free and loose at MU.

In marketing, there's a way to transform a one-off into a "ritual" (it's even often referred to by that name--"ritualization") where you can start doing what was done with wrestling, to name one example. The first Wrestlemania was supposed to be a one off. It turned into a multi-decadial cash cow by dding roman numerals to the end of it.

You can do that here, too.

No Sit Sunday I or II, etc.

Think of al the t-shirts you could sell!

At the very least, it's worth a good convo...

I am with you but afraid the fact we aren’t playing a highly rated Wisconsin team will naturally make it an impossibility to redo.

The opponent and, honestly, the fact that we have nowhere near as much at stake this weekend, will make replicating NSS difficult if not impossible.

Still should be a great environment.

If a large lady spills a beer all over me I may be throwin’ hands this time. It’s happened twice, by two different large ladies.

Flirting??

It was originally No Shit Sunday by the coaches, since if they beat a top 10 Wisky, no shit, they're 'N'!!

I'd just prefer to leave it up to the current team to do their part, the coaches do their part, and then, of course, the fans also their part. WIN OUT!

Crowd gimmick stuff was a Tim thing. It's not really a Fred thing. You're a daisy if you can get your section to stand the entire game though.
