Looks like Doc might have helped out in the scheduling.

This schedule is ok for year 1. If we're doing this year 2 we need to page Bobby Lutz for an intervention

The last time we played Georgia Tech was 1983 at the Omni. Sophomores Mark Price and John Salley on Bobby Cremin's squad took it to Moe Iba and sophomore Dave Hoppen 66-49

Last year's GT squad finished 14-18 but brings back most everyone. They shot 30.7% from 3 and are trying to get a VMI transfer who can shoot a waiver to play right away.  They also added some Russian kid that we looked at (didn't offer) who may or may not be a shooter.

I'm going to guess we play at 6:15 on ESPNU

We also stole this guy out from under Georgia Tech after Hoiberg took over:

Fascinating. The ticket offices were so confident in this being a home game they issued invoices accordingly. Now, they're pulling invoices down to adjust for one less home game. I still think this was the wrong year to increase prices.

Maybe this is a sign that they require payment for the following season's tickets too early...

On a more serious note than my last one, I wonder how this news is being received within the Athletic Department. Did we expect to have 18 home games for budget purchases? 10,000 season tickets times $20 per ticket = at least $200k in ticket revenue for each home game. Do we have any kind of 'minimum' home game expectation like football where we have to have at least seven home games? Or did we just lose 200k with this news coming out, which is more than half of the annual salary of one of our assistants?

Interesting that NU was supposed to be in line for a home game after playing at Clemson just last year. NU has tended to play a lot of the same teams in the B1G-ACC event (Wake Forest 2x, Clemson 2x, Miami 2x along with BC & FSU once), so at least this is a different one.

According to what he said during his media availability, Lutz is the one that put this schedule together.

But yeah, I have zero problem with the schedule this year since my expectations are nonexistent. If we even get close-to-the-bubble talk in year one, it's all gravy.

Hopefully this means we will are being rotated into a different "pod" of ACC opponents.

Georgia Tech hasn't had a winning conference season since 2003-2004, the year they made the Final Four. I'm not so sure this is the pod we want to be part of.

No reason not to get to the final, right? Rematch of that NCAA Tournament game against the Aggies in the title game. Hope we're gelled by then.

WSU at #251 according to Bartorvik.

GMU #144 and ODU #168.

Unless we tank one of those early games we should be rolling in here undefeated
