Saturday's Games of Interest:

West Virginia/Texas - take care of Texas
Kentucky/Florida - may not matter, but beat UF
Virginia Tech/Miami - doesn't matter, but might as well go for Miami
St. John's/Providence - win/win game
Mississippi State/LSU - down with MSU
Clemson/Syracuse - when will Syracuse finally give up?
Boston College/Florida State - win/win
Alabama/Texas A&M - might as well root for Alabama to lose
Baylor/Kansas State - the best of the worst
Big Ten Tournament: TBD/TBD
Stanford/Arizona State - some brackets have ASU declining
Creighton/Marquette - whatever.
Notre Dame/Virginia - go Virginia
Kansas/Oklahoma State - leave no questions
TCU/Texas Tech - might as well go with Texas Tech
North Dakota/Portland State - RPI
Oregon/Washington - UDub finally needs to croke
Big Ten Tournament: TBD/TBD
Georgia/Tennessee - just to be safe
Louisville/NC State - go NC State
Arkansas/Missouri - might as well have Missouri fall
UTEP/North Texas - RPI
Marshall/Middle Tennessee - go Marshall
Colorado/Utah - need Colorado to come through for us again
Wyoming/Boise State - down with BSU
Western Illinois/South Dakota State - just for good measure
Maine/Vermont - down with Vermont
Butler/Seton Hall - going with Butler
St. Bonaventure/Saint Louis - really need the Bonnies to fall
Little Rock/Louisiana - down with Louisiana
New Mexico State/UT Rio Grande Valley - down with NMSU
UT San Antonio/Rice - RPI
Western Kentuck/UAB - for good measure
UCLA/USC - need USC to help us out
UC Riverside/Long Beach State - RPI

Wow, I had a seriously tough time trimming down this list to the condensed set of "really important" games! What a huge day. If Nebraska wins today, and we get the majority of the below games to go our way, things will be sitting really pretty even if we lose on Saturday, I believe.

West Virginia over Texas, 11am

St. John's over Providence, 11am

LSU over Miss St, noon

Texas A&M over Alabama, 1pm

Kansas State over Baylor, 1pm

Boston College over Florida St, 1pm

Clemson over Syracuse, 1pm

Creighton over Marquette, 1:30pm

Stanford over Arizona St, 1:30pm

Virginia over Notre Dame, 3pm

Oregon over Washington, 3:30pm

NC State over Louisville, 5pm

Colorado over Utah, 6pm

St Louis over St Bonaventure, 7pm

UAB over Western Kentucky, 7pm

USC over UCLA, 9:15pm

Of these 16 games tomorrow, there is an expected win total  of7.92 wins for the teams that we want to win. So, get at least 9-10 of these to go our way and it will be a good day.

OK, enough looking ahead. Time to focus on the marquee event scheduled for 1:30pm...

Honest question

How is UCLA and Syracuse able to stay in the First four out for the last 2 weeks?  In the time frame UCLA has went 2-2 and Syracuse has went 1-3.

If you have a system based on guessing if teams will win or lose remaining games and you're not updating it a ton those guys would be sticking towards the top.

It's the old if Joe Lunardi didn't believe it, he wouldn't see it

Syracuse and UCLA have overall resumes better (on paper) than NU. Compare them side by side, and it's pretty easy to see, actually. NU needs to win today.

Don’t agreee with Syracuse in any way shape or form.  Best win Miami 7-10 in league is a joke and five home losses is really bad.

Time to go bubble bursting.  Watched way too many Marist and Delaware St. games to give up now.

You guys keep posting them, and I'll keep tweeting them

So the worst thing that could have happened today... happened.  But..... most all other bubble teams are going to lose at least 1 more in the next week.

It might be a good thing to have this game be 9 days in the past instead of 3 days in the past.

No reason for us to give up hope if the team isn't giving up hope.  Let's keep rooting hard for others to lose.

The Big12 has been so frustrating. It's a league full of average to good teams. It's almost like they're colluding to get as many teams in as they can. I have little doubt we're as good as almost any team in that league. I'm sorry, but they don't deserve 8 bids.

I mean if we are hoping the committee sees that we’re deserving based on the eye test, we have to hope that they see other leagues as being less challenging than the national perception or we are screwed anyways.
