Pinnacle Bank Arena with a somewhat *to-be-determined ranking due to being the newest:

11. Nebraska Cornhuskers: Pinnacle Bank Arena, opened in 2013
Is this a tough place to play? It's too early to say. Pinnacle is basically brand new, and its first season (2013-14) was a rousing success. Nebraska went 19-13, lost just once at home and made the NCAA tournament for the first time in forever. The Cornhuskers have regressed in the two seasons since, though, which has made it hard to appraise, tough-venue-wise.

Top 3:

1. Assembly Hall (Indiana)

2. Breslin (MSU)

3. Kohl (Wisconsin)

Breslin's not that tough.

If the survey were done at the end of the 2013/14 season the results might have been a little different.   (Tell #11 to my wife who was with me on what turned out to be a 'no-sit;'  'no-silent' night (at least judging by the crowd immediately surrounding us) for the Penn State game Febr 20, 2014.)

Who else thinks the current roster is more talented across the board than the 2013/14 team?

Everyone does.  But more talent doesn't always mean more wins.

It's more complete. But do we have a petteway who can put us on his back

These type articles are basically summer space fillers. The more successful teams will always have the "better" venues. I was an undergrad at KU during one of the few eras when the basketball team was actually bad (the star was John Matt, a center from Minneapolis Kansas). Allen Fieldhouse was not a "great" venue then, but it got a whole lot better when Jojo White became eligible.

Once Miles gets us rolling, we will be in the top 3. No better fans than Husker fans.

We show up but we don't make noise, typically.  That's something we have to fix.  And the HUSKER POWER chant to open each game is a good start.

There is a big difference between best fans and most rowdy fans.  No doubt NU fans are very loyal and show up but just like in football that showing up doesn't necessarily make it a tough environment to play in.  NU fans are "self proclaimed" the greatest fans in college sports but there are way more difficult environments to play in than Lincoln, NE

Yes we show up but when we are actually good and playing for something I think the atmosphere is/will be pretty electric (i.e. Wisconsin 2013-14). Obviously that is a really small sample size but if we are playing for the things Michigan State and Indiana are typically playing for I think our crowd responds accordingly. Until then we will continue to be a mild crowd imo.

Nebraska and Penn State were voted by their football player peers to have the toughest environments in the B1G on the gridiron. http://espn.go.com/blog/bigten/post/_/id/134938/polling-the-players-toughest-place-to-play-in-the-big-ten
