Or.. My all time (post 2007) team?

I DEMAND AN OPTION IN THE POLL.

That being said- I went with 49ers. Two great teams but more depth and "for sure" guys. Watson leading the way and Gill will give them a great backcourt.

I think They lose a bit on size but i think Jacobson can compete with Jordy.

I voted 49ers

Why?  I think a year's experience more than neutralizes any size advantage between jacobsen and Jordy in the short term and Morrow and/or horne will spend half the game doubling jacobsen due to his flexibility.  End of year i think I'd probably go the other direction with my pick due to maturation of horne, morrow (the human 10-10 machine if he plays to type and talent), and jordy.  Roby or mcveigh will contribute more than you think at first glance as well due to matching up with the worst defender (awIII).

Gill can ball to go with watson.  think of how guard play dominates the ncaa's.  the two best guards on the same team and what looks like (short term) a neutral inside game.   webster can only guard one of them.  Go with the 49ers.... for now.

PG: Watson v. Webster. Webster is a better defender but Watson is a better "true" point gaurd. I expect them both to make jumps offensively. The slightest of edge to Webster.

SG: Gill v. White. These two could both have quite the game. White isnt known for his defense and I read Gill can be hot and cold with his. Both are said to be great scorers (In different ways) but I'll go with who is proven. Edge to White.

SF: Roby v. Horne. Would be a really good match up of the two freshmen. I would love to watch them gaurd each other in real life for a scrimmage. Both players seems to be extremely versatile. Edge to Roby.

PF: McVeigh v. Morrow. Both play different styles at the 4. Morrow could beat up McVeigh inside and on the boards and is more athletic than McVeigh. But McVeigh can stretch the floor and force Morrow to defend parts of the court he is not comfortable defending. Plus McVeigh 7'1 wingspan will help neutralize Morrow's athletic advantage. Tie.

C: Jacobson v. Tshimanga. This will just be another day on the court for Jacobson (I'm sure he is used to playing undersized by now). Jacobson is a smart tough player with experience and can make Jordy defend outside the paint. I'm sure Tshimanga can give him trouble at times. Like mentioned in an earlier post, if this were at the end of the season I might take Jordy. But edge to Jacobson.

Bench: Fuller v. Laws. This isn't really fair imo and I think we should have allowed Palmer bc he is eligible for scrimmages!!! But rules are rules. Edge to Fuller.

Series: 49rs 4, Pimps 3.

49r prevails due to versatility of his lineup and having one extra scholarship player. Pimps team puts up a valiant effort as AW3 and Tai go down swinging but can't overcome the inability of their bigs not being able to gaurd the three ball from McVeigh and Jacobson.

PS: If this were actually going down (which I wish it were) I would make Palmer eligible to give each team 6 scholarship players and then just have Laws be a two way player for both teams.

As other have already stated, the two teams are extremely even.  But they shouldn't have been.  49r, why didn't you grab Tai with either pick 4 or 5?!?  He's a good 2-guard, but more importantly, you could have kept Pimp from having any semblance of a PG!  Had 49r locked up both Glynn and Tai, I would have taken his team in a clean sweep.  As is, it's too close to call.

Honestly it was between Gill and Tai for me at pick #4 (or #5).  I went with Gill for (hopefully) a little better shooting.  Plus, I was hoping Pimp would skip him over for yet another big man so I could pick Tai up on the cheap later on.  But all you guys were all hollering for him after I made my picks and basically forced Pimp to draft him so I couldn't.  :)  Thanks a lot for ruining my plan, guys!

Call me crazy, but if Husker Hoops Twitter tweets at coach Miles and asks for this scrimmage with these lineups, i wouldnt be shocked to see him do it.

Simply because coach Miles is awesome at things like this.

Your crazy!

But you are right.

Someone should make note to come back to this at the end of the season so we can reevaluate.

If you think Norm hasn't already done that, you don't know him very well.
