  1. All interesting stuff, but for the rest of my life I will be traumatized by my conclusions following our destruction of Colorado in the exhibition game 3 years ago. My defense mechanisms now lead me to not put much stock in exhibitions....

  2. This seems as good as a place as any to flex my collection of digital media guides. I have either the full guide or the cover of most guides back to 1958 https://huskerhoopscentral.com/media-guides/

  3. I think Berke is a lot like me. You buzz your hair and as a result your body appears bloated a bit.

  4. I agree with the idea. To me, Meah always has been and still remains the weirdest piece of this season’s puzzle. Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk

  5. Gave it a listen today. I think in certain lineup situations, Berke at the 5 is a viable option, but as you said and Fred has said, consistency needs to be there for it to be viable. I do agree about Connor needing to be a guy from 3. With meah, I don't like the DHOs they run with him UNLESS they get an immediate downhill action with him and the ball handler off the dho. It becomes a "pick your poison" situation then for the defense on the ball handler, the lob threat, or the corner if help comes. It's a wrinkle I really hope they implement, but meah needs to be better at passing in order to make it work. He did look awkward doing it though. Good thoughts as always

  6. Next episode will be myself and Wilson Moore from the Omaha World Hearald doing a sort of deep dive roster breakdown and season preview. We’re recording tonight, let me know any big picture questions for the season you guys might have.

  7. Here are the links to the latest episode. Talking exhibition game, some leftover secret scrimmage stuff, and recent National CBB happenings.

  8. The two guys mentioned for their rebounding acumen earlier in the thread, well, each of those 2 had only 1 rebound, namely Juwan & Rollie. Meanwhile, Berke pulled down a dozen rebounds. Am I missing something with the "rebounding woes"? It was an exhibition against a team that shot a ton of outside shots with a lot of weird caroms. I'm not too concerned after one weird exhibition game. Let's see how it goes in the next few weeks & come back to the discussion. Box out & grab the ball. It ought to be all right. NU has guys who can rebound, but only time will tell. GBR

  9. just a little sidenote from the Husker-Doane article in the OWH: Last week, Nebraska met up with North Dakota State in Sioux Falls, South Dakota, for a scrimmage at the Sanford Pentagon, where Nebraska will play in November. The Huskers won 84-67 in an impressive showing against a team that went 22-12 last season. Markowski was great in that game, scoring 23 points on 9 for 11 shooting from the field and 5 for 6 at the line. Prince and Amiah Hargrove each added nine points and three rebounds for the Huskers.

  10. Not really very concerned on who started at this point. This was more like a scrimmage. This is a much different team from last year. We have 4 or so from last that will probably start, but the new players appear to be contributors down the road. Amy's just sorting things out and getting everyone on the floor to see who can do what....well. If we do that much mixing of players, some times a little confusion shows up. The players you might expect to be ready to go...were. Rimdal may well be a frequent contributor, looked to be in control of what she was doing. No deer in the eyes look. She understands the speed of the game. Hargrove isn't afraid to mix it up. She just needs more time to learn her roll. Prince will be a great floor general. We had a ton of steals. A good sign. All in all we started the season well. Watched a replay. Sure was nice to see Weidner give it a go finally. Good for her. Good stuff.

    Seat Geek

So there are two ways you can list tickets on SeatGeek. You can either go directly through huskers.com, which automatically links up the tickets to the correct game and you don't have to do anything on your end / no chance for errors. Or you can list tickets manually, which would leave open the possibility for mistakes. Sounds like the seller listed these tickets the latter way. Hope it gets fixed for you!

  12. I thought he looked out of shape and a bit lumbering.

  13. The good: - Man we’re big and long. Strong looking dudes too. - Even as average as we played, our defense is just tough to score on. - Thought a lot of dudes made some nice individual plays. - The high-low plays for Meah. I’d love to see a few more wrinkles on those. - Lots of steals and hands in passing lanes. The bad: - Definitely not 5 playing as 1 yet. Thats for sure. And I’m not talking about typical pre-season sputters. Far behind where they should be right now after this many practices. - I expected a lot more O rebounds. Especially on sub- 50% shooting. - Gave up 14 offensive rebounds to a D2 team…. Yikes. - Anything with Meah operating at the top of the key. Yeeesh. Please don’t try to force that. He doesn’t have any feel for it and does not have the skills for it. And we don’t have time for him to figure it out. The ugly: - Does everyone on this team have mono? Second time I’ve seen them, they look lethargic, uninterested, and bored. Maybe that’s a good thing? Need a bit more of a challenge to get our juices flowing? -Body language leaves quite a bit to be desired… whiney and uninspired.

  14. Okay half time thoughts GVS is a scrappy bunch. We might want to watch to see how their season goes in DII even though the score is close. I am not worried much early. We can pass. Our D isn’t too bad for a first scrimmage. We are legitimately two deep at every position. the good When Brice and Gary are on the floor everything seems to run very well. both points guards will truly make this team solid Buyuktucel is good to very good we run good sets to have guys wide open in good spots to score we must’ve lived in the weight room because a few of these guys our big, big , big the bad 3 point shooting tonight is a bit off we look really tired like maybe we practiced earlier in the day or went hard last night rebounding could be better but I think it will with the addition of Morgan when healthy u already miss the state of Nebraska outline on the court and we need to quit shrinking the uniforms because a couple of these guys look like 5 pounds of sausage being jammed into ac3 pound caseing. also will need to bring my readers now because I am having a hell of a time reading these messages and can’t really see the keyboard so am making more mistakes than usual
