    In state kids?

Don't know if it's been discussed much, but UNO is really changing the recruiting game in Omaha. Kids are seeing a lot more opportunity to play with another D-1 program around. Good athletes in this area used to be drawn more to football, not so much any more. Omaha's large Sudanese population also is a big change. Koang Duluony played at Indiana State a few years ago, was very raw. The Sudanese kids coming up now, though, have been playing longer and are skilled. Big men are still hard to find, just because the population base is small, but there is plenty of talent on the rise at other positions. The junior class is VERY talented, as we know.

  3. Here's an idea... How about an exempt holiday tournament at Sprint Center featuring just former Big 8 schools? Like, one more for old times' sake?

  5. It's not.Promise?Yes.I hope you're right because I pretty much hate those.I am right. Our red and white shorts' design don't look anything like those. I am trusting you are telling us the truth for my +1...because those shorts are not it; yet, they rhyme with it. So, I get to keep the +1?

  6. Hopefully it isn't "Petteway" on the back, because it sure got old watching him carry everyone on his back last year (I kid.)

  9. I'd have to say KU...It was one of the few Big 8/12 games that I looked forward to every year with respect towards the other team and their fans. I also have a fond memory of the one year my grandmother going to the NU/KU game with our family. She was a true blue KU fan. She was even burried with her KU Sweatshirt. She had never been to a KU game prior to that one experience. The program from that particular game is even still sitting on the table at the family farm house many years later.

  10. I'll say say the Longhorns. Austin is a blast, and we always played entertaining and highly competitive games. Plus just think how the Red away Unis would POP on the Longhorn network.

  11. No link. I just thought it was being discussed along with changing the shot clock. But I hadn't heard anything about it and was wondering what's come of the discussion. I recall there being some discussion about this. I just can't remember from where. The only thing I could find related to this discussion was this: http://www.sportsonearth.com/article/67879480/its-time-for-the-ncaa-to-move-the-three-point-line-again

  12. I got to see both Yogi and Mick play against the old KC A's in Municipal Stadium on Brooklyn Avenue. And I would not want to leave out Ted Williams. I wonder what players will be referred to in the same way 50 or 60 years hence? I fear it will be no one since by then Rollerball will probably be the latest fad.

  14. Saw Norm last Friday at a Big Brothers Big Sisters event. As much fun as it was to yell "Sit down Norm" the man had a aura about him. Watching him the other night that is sadly gone, looks like an old man now. Respected that old man, Sit down Norm. Wish him well. Nowadays, I only think of Quinn Snyder when I think of MIzzou. ((cough)) ((chortle)) ((cough))

Please make sure to provide a warm welcome if/when you see him this coming Saturday. It looks like he will be at the football game. http://journalstar.com/sports/huskers/life-in-the-red/doc-sadler-looks-forward-to-lincoln-trip/article_1050a370-5fea-11e5-b2c7-e3f4e1e6b1b8.html
