Brice Williams tonight:

Playing hard isn’t enough when we are so offensively challenged.  Connor had a good look but it didn’t go.  Need the week to recover for the Gophers.

Minnesota is a must win, obviously. No one to blame but us if we fail to dance. Fred’s team was in the drivers seat to two in a row and we are doing everything possible to… not.

Plenty of opportunities to win this one. Just missed them. Played our asses off on defense. Fought hard on the boards. Won the turnover battle. Just don't have enough guys who can put the ball in the basket consistently this year.

Gary wasn’t good but I can overlook him. 
 

Berke makes a world of difference on defense. 
 

We fail the eye test big time. Guarantee the committee wants to keep us out now. 
 

2 wins equals maybe Dayton. 
 

3 wins gets you firmly in. 
 

No more margin for error. 
 

We now have a legit chance at going 5-5 at home in league. 
 

This team just seems like it’s going to fall short. 
 

I don’t have any confidence they will do what’s needed to get in. 
 

such a waste of Brice in what’s a Top 10 individual season in husker hoops history. 
 

Berke being back helps tremendously.  1 - 7 in lay-ups.  Michigan was 3 - 12.  If we bring that defensive intensity every game, we are hard to beat.  One thing we have to do is finish through contact.  We failed miserably.   The refs were not calling fouls at the rim, tonight.  Both ways.  We are a team that needs to get to the free throw line to be successful.   Put this one behind us and get back to that home court magic.

Some of this won’t be popular as short term bias is a thing.

effort was incredible tonight and that is all I really ask as we are a very flawed team.  No matter what team we go with we are bad at something. 

I think maybe you call the timeout down 1 and take the last shot.  I realize why they didn't, but even had that three gone there was still time for Michigan (which is what you don't want).  Of course then you let Michigan get set on defense and we couldn't seem to figure that out.  Not sure why Michigan fouled Brice with 12 seconds to go to begin with, they had him pretty well trapped and were up 3.

Don't think I'm a fan of how Michigan is coached.  Flops.  Grabbing guys on rebounds.  Purposely running into players.

Gonna have to be ready for Minnesota.  Get the 1st win and go from there.

Glad to have Berke back on the defensive end.  Hopefully he gets the offense going again, was forcing way too much tonight.

I can’t remember who, but there were a few “we might not miss Keisei as much this year as some think” posts before the season. Man we miss him MORE than I even thought we would.

I disagree on Connor from a shot making perspective, but I do see the spacing aspect. They need to stop running so much dho stuff for him at the top or having him run around like he's keisei. He's not that kind of player. Run it for Brice with Connor spacing in the corner. 

I'll see what Fred does on Saturday cuz I do see the thought process. But at the same time he has to make his shots, and he's at 34% from 3 in conference after tonight. 

Oh well. Years and years of following Husker basketball has prepared me for moments like this.

We do miss him.  But, the real blow is Mast.  He is a more skilled Berke on the offensive end.  It sucks we didn't get him in Brice's last year.

I wonder if a tiny piece of the very talented people that do the cinematic recaps were ok with the result tonight?

He excited the building if nothing else. And he brought a lot more than nothing else,

Keisei wasn't always on. Feels more like we're missing Gavin being playable in the CJ role

I think we miss Lawrence as much as anyone.

Totally agree. He would have opened things up big time for Gary and Brice.

They challenge Maryland for team I disliked the most this year. 

Brice giving the ball up for the win wasnt a good decision

Defense = good

Brice = good

Rebounding = good

Intensity = good

Everyone else other than Brice on offense = BAD
