An up arrow, Red Don, for making a quite obscure pop reference to a tv series which only ran in 64-65. However TW3, as it was usually referred to, was one of my personal favorites. Deliberate, or accidental homage?

Very Perceptive (as usual), Jimmy!   (I must be showing my age ;))

Thanks all,  I just thought I'd try to dress up the usually sterile statistics a little, jogging some memories on the actual game (and present a ray of  hope)

(Despite the miserable season, there were a few notable 'mile-stones' - 2 players reaching 1,000 pts, Rhode Island fans rushing the court, etc) That I hoped to preserve for the casual observer  )

Thanks for the summary, albeit a cruel, detailed recollection of a bumpy ride Red Don.

FWIW, Michael Jacobson is no longer a "verbal" as he signed, sealed & delivered! ;)

I think "verbal" was in reference to Jack McVeigh.  Just going by the placement of the semi-colons.

Gotcha, didn't see the semi-colon there. As Kent P would say: GOT IT!!
