Silverbacked1 Posted April 1, 2015 Report Posted April 1, 2015 This is how I keep the glass half full all the time. I tell the cocktail waitress to have another one on the table when the one I have ice touches the bottom. I tip very well. Also this was my 50th year of Husker Basketball being my heart, so I can wait a bit longer. AuroranHusker 1 Quote
Norm Peterson Posted April 3, 2015 Report Posted April 3, 2015 For those of you worried about whether Mike Edwards is any good or not (since he's still available in the spring and programs are scrambling to fill out their rosters, etc.) I present to you for comparison purposes video of Penn State Bound Mike Watkins, #120 on the Rivals 150 for 2015. GATA Posted April 3, 2015 Report Posted April 3, 2015 How did that team not play them a lot at the same time? #TwinTowers Quote

Im not saying it will be the same jump, from unranked to 4 star and #36 in the final rankings for Devonte Graham whom we went after and ended up at Kansas, but I suspect he makes an impact on the top 150 final ranking. Silverbacked1 Posted April 3, 2015 Report Posted April 3, 2015 What I find interesting is how small some of these gyms are. And they are at large populated schools. Also it seems nobody goes to these games. I have seen larger crowds at Middle School games. Guess it shows that we don't have much to do in Nebraska but go to the games. AuroranHusker 1 Quote

TheKamdyMan Posted April 5, 2015 Report Posted April 5, 2015 One of the Michigan posters on Rivals feels UGA will eventually be the team to beat. We shall see. Quote
FredsSlacks Posted April 5, 2015 Report Posted April 5, 2015 i would be surprised if he committed to georgia without taking any other visits. Quote

MichHusker Posted April 6, 2015 Report Posted April 6, 2015 So what do you guys think the chances are he commits to us before he leaves? Quote
TheKamdyMan Posted April 6, 2015 Report Posted April 6, 2015 So what do you guys think the chances are he commits to us before he leaves? slim. He is getting interest from schools like Duke and UCLA. Now it may be like a 1% interest but I doubt he will shut things down with his stock skyrocketing like it is right now. Quote

According to Mike, his top 5 schools are NU, Georgia, KSU, SMU, and Marquette and it doesn't look like Duke and UCLA are offering anytime soon. Plus, this would be his third official visit with only 2 remaining. I think we have a very good shot. Quote
FredsSlacks Posted April 6, 2015 Report Posted April 6, 2015 if he's interested in playing in the big 10 and getting a lot of minutes, i would say we have a real good shot here. Quote

He has stated several times he will take visits, though the newest article says he may only take one more instead of previously all 5. So to answer the question that was posed, that should be the most likely answer though I'd be happy to be wrong. Now to the grand question of will he commit to us at some point, that changes quite a bit. hhcmatt 1 Quote
FredsSlacks Posted April 6, 2015 Report Posted April 6, 2015 not sure why, but georgia and ksu don't worry me. smu has larry brown, but how much longer is he really going to be there? marquette would worry me because it would be close to home for him. You have to like our chances being in the Big 10 and having a huge need for a big guy. Quote
throwback Posted April 6, 2015 Report Posted April 6, 2015 if he's interested in playing in the big 10 and getting a lot of minutes, i would say we have a real good shot here. Exactly - a chance for minutes immediately & at least 1 chance per year to show Michigan it missed the boat on him. Quote
