Norm Peterson Posted May 17, 2014 Report Posted May 17, 2014 Cryptic text message from a friend that one of the coaches (like the head guy) was maybe in a car accident this evening. Totalled car-like bad. Not sure of any other details and don't want to get involved in rumors, except that I'm ... getting involved in rumors. But I'll leave it at let's just hope everyone driving around Lincoln tonight gets home safely. Sorry I have no other details. Anyone heard anything? If this turns out not to be correct, mods, please delete. Quote

Hooper Posted May 17, 2014 Report Posted May 17, 2014 He was in a pretty bad accident this afternoon, and there was an ambulance at the scene, but I don't believe he was seriously injured. Don't have any more details, but he's at home and okay. Quote

HuskerCager Posted May 17, 2014 Report Posted May 17, 2014 Glad to hear everyone involved apparently is OK. Quote
Huskerpapa Posted May 17, 2014 Report Posted May 17, 2014 Oh lordy...not what you ever want to hear. Man, I hope EVERYONE is fine! Quote
Cazzie22 Posted May 17, 2014 Report Posted May 17, 2014 Good news that everyone is OK and no injuries. The original post by Norm had me very, very nervous about the situation. Quote
colhusker Posted May 17, 2014 Report Posted May 17, 2014 When I saw this on scout my first thought was oh #$#@$% Quote
a0t0w0 Posted May 17, 2014 Report Posted May 17, 2014 Yikes. Best of luck to those involved. North Lincoln 35 mph= 30 mph. South Lincoln 45 mph= 55 mph. When driving in Lincoln, standard procedure is to turn on your blinker when you aren't turning/merging. When turning/merging, do not use blinker. Also, when driving at comfortable speed, remember to slam on your brakes for no apparent reason. Do this and you'll fit in. Jadler, aphilso1 and huskerchode 3 Quote

Looks like Lincoln isn't much better. Quote
Jadler Posted May 17, 2014 Report Posted May 17, 2014 Us 69 county drivers have all sorts of a reputation. Quote

Row6Seat10 Posted May 17, 2014 Report Posted May 17, 2014 Hope everyone's ok. I drove by a messy one at morning rush hour in the east bound lanes at 27th and highway 2. Looked as if tempers were flaring between the parties. Couldn't hear exactly what was being said as I went by but fingers were pointing, arms were waving and faces were yelling at each other 6 inches apart. Quote
Norm Peterson Posted May 17, 2014 Author Report Posted May 17, 2014 Very glad to hear it. Although, airbag going off in your face, that's liable to make a guy sore for a few days. Bounce back, coach. Quote
Brandon4Real_X Posted May 18, 2014 Report Posted May 18, 2014 I'm surprised by the lack of coverage on this story. Makes me wonder if Coach caused it and that's why it's going "hidden" Quote
HF_ Posted May 18, 2014 Report Posted May 18, 2014 Who gives a shit, brandon? If he caused it, fine. Accidents happen. Glad coach and other parties are OK. Next! Brandon4Real_X 1 Quote
HuskerFever Posted May 18, 2014 Report Posted May 18, 2014 ...hope he wasn't texting... ...or tweeting. Quote

Makes me wonder if Coach caused it and that's why it's going "hidden" I don't think who caused it would make a difference in terms of media coverage. What would make a difference is how serious. So, thank goodness there's none to minimal coverage. Coverage would mean someone was really hurt. jaimes2000 and Brandon4Real_X 2 Quote
