TheKamdyMan Posted April 24, 2014 Author Report Posted April 24, 2014 There's a Moses/Sea of Red joke in here somewhere... The cool thing would have been a planned crowd during the spring game around the group. Then like a flash mob everyone knows to move aside. That way Moses would part the Red Sea. Quote
49r Posted April 24, 2014 Report Posted April 24, 2014 How many "Moses parting the sea of red" lines are we going to see from LeeB, Shatel, BR, et al in the next year? Quote
49r Posted April 24, 2014 Report Posted April 24, 2014 Hey, how'd you embed that tweet!?! http://board.huskerhoopscentral.com/topic/2172-pinnacle-bank-arena/page-3#entry28900 It's easy. Just about as easy as posting YouTube videos. No, you don't need to have a twitter account to be able to do it. Here's a quick and dirty tutorial...note, the URL's in my example below have had the http: part stripped outbecause the dang noparse UBB tag doesn't seem to work here right now....DIMES! Say there's something someone tweeted that you want to embed in a post here, first you go to their twitter feed (we'll use Coach Miles as an example here). The URL in your browser will look like this: //twitter.com/CoachMiles Next, find the individual tweet you'd like to embed. In the upper right-hand corner of the tweet will be a time stamp. It'll say "3m ago" or "6h ago" or "18 Apr". If you click on that, you will be taken to a page that displays that individual tweet and it's corresponding conversation thread (if there is any). The URL there should look like the one above but it adds "/status/bunchanumbershere". It would be like this: //twitter.com/CoachMiles/status/324671833980940288 Just copy that link and paste it into a post, et voila! You have posted a tweet! Quote
49r Posted April 24, 2014 Report Posted April 24, 2014 So easy a Ni-frikin-gerian prince could do it! Quote
Cazzie22 Posted April 24, 2014 Report Posted April 24, 2014 He doesn't have to be great, just rebound, defend the other team's post and maybe give a post presence on offense on occasion. Quote

Silverbacked1 Posted April 24, 2014 Report Posted April 24, 2014 'Bout damn time. Took him long enough. Mom flies all the way from Ni-frickin-geria for him to commit and he holds off? If I was his mom, I'd beat his ass for that. Kid, I flew all the way from Ni-frickin-geria and you gonna think about it? This here nice man gonna offer you a scholarship to start on your masters' degree and play basketball and you gots to think about it? You better sign your name on that dotted line right now, son, or we're about to have a problem. Mm'hmm, that's right. He wanted to wait to announce until after Georgetown's banquet. Shows he is a class act. That is being a good repectful teammate. Quote
Handy Johnson Posted April 24, 2014 Report Posted April 24, 2014 While Ayegba/Smith won't make you forget Sampson/Olajawon, think of a front line of Ayegba-Smith-Pitchford. This gives us SO much more size and versatility, can't wait to see what Miles pulls off next. I'm guessing one of last two scholly's goes to a JUCO wing who can light it up. Quote

HuskerFever Posted April 24, 2014 Report Posted April 24, 2014 At least we know that Moses will become an instant success. I can't believe it took a lot to convince him to leave the most elite college basketball conference in the world. Quote
Huskerpapa Posted April 24, 2014 Report Posted April 24, 2014 I will echo something Normie said...we are now one shooter short, that may be the missing link at this point. Is that shooter Mr. Fuller? Will Tai all of a sudden find his range/shot? Otherwise, we need to get "that guy" for next year. Nebrasketballer 1 Quote

I can't believe it took a lot to convince him to leave the most elite college basketball conference in the world. Yeah, and we know from 'Requiem for the Big East' that the 'real' Big East conference died a year ago. So, in reality, Moses Ayegba & Kenya Hunter were together for 3 years in the powerhouse 'real' Big East (then Ayegba spent last season in the Big LEast). Quote
Silverbacked1 Posted April 25, 2014 Report Posted April 25, 2014 He looks pretty well put together: Look how long his arms are. I see how he has over a 7 foot wing span. Quote
Creighton Fan Posted April 25, 2014 Report Posted April 25, 2014 Hope expectattions aint to hi. He got a 7ft wingspan but da brotha couldnt get much PT even doe Gtown lacked post depth all year. Quote
AuroranHusker Posted April 25, 2014 Report Posted April 25, 2014 I wouldn't expect starters' minutes for Ayegba, even if Moses were to 'start' the ballgame. I'd imagine a three-headed monster in the middle w/ Pitch & Smith also w/ playing time at the 5. Ayegba will be an enforcer who could have a short or long stretch of minutes in the range of 12-20 minutes per game depending on the matchups down low. Quote

Why wouldn't there be high expectations? Of course my definition of a high expectation may differ from yours. I expect him to provide solid minutes, be a great team player, playing within the role that is defined for him. I expect him to guard the post, and protect the paint. I expect him to set terrific picks. I expect him to rebound, and even if he does not get the board, I expect him to box out the world. I expect him to score when the opportunity exists. I expect him to improve his free throw percentage exponentially over his past few years and I expect him to score five to eight points a game. I expect him to make his teammates better. And finally I expect him to be a good citizen. I do not think that those expectations are exceptionally high. I believe they will be acheived quite frankly. NeHoops and jayschool 2 Quote
