Shuttlesworth Posted April 29, 2014 Report Posted April 29, 2014 For those who believe weather plays a factor, it's supposed to be 72 and sunny all weekend. Keep Tai and Hawkins away from him. This is how it always is during basketball season San Diego of the Big Ten. Red Rum, Cell, Norm Peterson and 1 other 4 Quote
Cookie Belcher Posted April 30, 2014 Report Posted April 30, 2014 I'm somewhat concerned that Wake just entered his final four and now they are getting the first visit. My concern is he visits there and commits and never looks back. Quote
doc1394 Posted April 30, 2014 Report Posted April 30, 2014 Campus will be pretty much empty that weekend Quote
Minnesota_Husker Posted April 30, 2014 Report Posted April 30, 2014 This isnt good for us at all. I think if we get him to campus, we will have a chance but he seems to be getting hot and heavy with Wake Forest--judging by who he re-tweets. hhcmatt and BirdsOnTheBat 1 1 Quote
lanigan123 Posted April 30, 2014 Report Posted April 30, 2014 I actually wish he was visiting here this weekend. hhcmatt and BirdsOnTheBat 1 1 Quote

GATA Posted April 30, 2014 Report Posted April 30, 2014 Yup, I think he's Wake-bound. Had a bad feeling when they all of a sudden jumped into his top four. Not sure how we can spin this as a good development. hhcmatt and BirdsOnTheBat 1 1 Quote

TheKamdyMan Posted April 30, 2014 Report Posted April 30, 2014 So Kamdy why don't you think it's a big deal? Â Because this is a guy that was spurned by his previous college he committed to and the coach leaving. Â I dont see him making a quick decision this time around and visiting as many schools as he can. Â He also has been talking to some of the NOLA guys going to NU. Â Im not saying he will choose NU but I dont see him committing this weekend either. Quote

REDZONEDAN Posted May 1, 2014 Report Posted May 1, 2014 He has Corn in his name. Hopefully he realizes he is destined to be a Husker. So I'm reaching. I just really want Cornish and Deng to commit and sign. Quote
hhcmatt Posted May 1, 2014 Report Posted May 1, 2014 Looks like he's also visiting at the same time as Mitchell Wilbekin, whom he follows on twitter. No idea of their relationship nor if one will influence the other.  WF also needs guards so a guy like Danny Manning cancelling our trip wouldn't be shocking.  Quote
GATA Posted May 1, 2014 Report Posted May 1, 2014 Man, we really need another guard to add to our mix. If we don't land Cornish maybe there's another one-and-done senior out there. Â Not that he's a senior transfer, but it's strange that we haven't heard anything from Domingo yet. Quote

What college student doesn't appear to have any twitter activity in nearly 3 months~!?! Quote
lanigan123 Posted May 1, 2014 Report Posted May 1, 2014 My concern with Cornish is the opposite, committing because he doesn't have a home this late in the game. WF can put that pressure on him. Quote

I'm not too worried about that. He knows he can slow play Nebraska because we have a lot of scholarships to burn. Quote

IF (and that's a big 'if') Deng Deng commits to NU before next weekend, then it will be a bit more interesting to see where Cornish's head is at upon his arrival in Lincoln.  Sure would be great to sign double-D and then glean a potential four-year shooting guard to further enhance the roster of the program during the spring signing period.  We shall see how it all goes down in the next 10 days or so... exciting times, if nothing else. Silverbacked1 1 Quote
