AuroranHusker Posted January 7, 2014 Report Posted January 7, 2014 Surprised the stuffed-cabbage-and-meat pockets weren't available from the start... but, I'm w/ CWG, the Runza-burgers are the better entree. Quote

The incompetance of the PBA concessions officials was responsible. Wouldn't even return Runza's calls. They finally figured out Nebraskans want the product as an option. hhcmatt 1 Quote
Silverbacked1 Posted January 7, 2014 Report Posted January 7, 2014 PBA was a bit like the Jack Daniel's Distillery, where we were hoping the team would give us something that we couldn't get at the place we were trying to get it at. Clear as mud huh? Jack can't be tasted or sold as it is made in a "dry" county and they don't sell RUNZAS at the PBA yet we could win them for scoring points. Mind like a steel trap. Quote
Norm Peterson Posted January 7, 2014 Report Posted January 7, 2014 I love RunzasTM. I'm glad they have them at PBA. Now, I can buy a few from a reputable establishment on the way to the arena and smuggle them past the wand wavers and purse checkers and eat them at my leisure without any ushers questioning it. (Hey, that guy has a RunzaTM. Oh, yeah, we're selling them now.) I love RunzasTM. And RunzaTM isn't paying me to say it (though I think they should.) hhcmatt, HB and pvhusker 3 Quote
Handy Johnson Posted January 7, 2014 Report Posted January 7, 2014 They're advertised all over the ribbon board, and I was SHOCKED when I went to get one and they said NO DICE. Thank God this oversight has been corrected. HB 1 Quote

Creighton's version of your Runza's is Godfather's pizza, but same deal, you can't get Godfather's pizza in the Clink. Bizzare. Quote

Do you have a red Prada or Hilde Palladino bag? Oh, I have no fear of the purse checkers since I don't carry a bag. But, given my natural girth and the fact that I must, therefore, wear a rather large coat (one with ample inside pockets) I am able to conceal objects up to the size of a small grand piano in my parka. I was tempted to try to smuggle a nice selection of artisan cheeses, various charcuterie, and a nice bottle of cabernet, but, alas, I figured the overzealous ushers would instantly recognize such repast as not being among the items regularly offered for sale within the PBA. So, imagine my delight upon learning that RunzasTM are going to once again be available at Nebraska basketball games. I literally jumped for joy (to the extent that what I accomplish in thrusting my carcass almost imperceptibly off the ground can be described as "jumping.") Quote

HuskerBB Posted January 8, 2014 Report Posted January 8, 2014 Best news since the arena opened. Can't wait to buy one Thursday just to support pretty much the first positive news on the concession front (although I will admit the big corndogs at the State Fair concession stand are pretty good). I am curious about what the price will be. Val's pizza slices are $5 in PBA - $1 more than they were at Devaney - which is also $1 more than they are at Memorial Stadium - where the kids bring them to your seat. Wonder if Runza will also be forced by PBA to bump up their price in the arena. Quote
