like I've stated in other threads.  You get 12 official visits allowed per year for basketball and NU will only sign 2-3 players so why not exhaust your visits on your Plan B guys.  That way if Plan A doesnt work out that guy has already made his trip and you dont have to scramble.

I agree that you should let plan B guys visit, but i think it would be more beneficial if you could get the plan A guys to visit first.

I doubt Smith and Wacker would sit around and wait as our plan b guys, when they have offers from Marquette, Boston college, Colorado, Creighton, Texas Tech (both), Washington st, TCU (both), Witchita St, etc.

Are every one of the offers commitable offers?  You really dont know where they sit with any school until they actually commit.  Yes you'd love to get the Plan A guys in first but what if their schedule cant get them in until right before signing day and they decide on another school.  If plan B guy hasnt committed yet and already visited at that point you can go right to him and try to secure him.  You have to play the recruiting game.

only the coaches know how much interest bolden and gilmore really have in us. Us, the fans know for sure that Smith and Wacker have a high interest in us to take an official here. We will have to see how things play out.

I couldn't find a highlight video of Smith.  Other than the "dunk" posted above.  And that might tell us something.

As for Bolden being one and done ...

Michigan State had a 5-star recruit on their roster last year who was a junior.

And he's returning for his senior year.

So ...

usually guys that even slightly resemble kevin durant are lottery picks now a days though.

if he's half decent as a freshman, he'll be a first round pick.

he's 6'9 with a 7'3 wingspan and can shoot 3s. i think someone would draft him from potential alone.

Sounds like Nicolas Batum. I could get on board with that.

It's either a great sign or it's that episode of 80s sitcom where we end up with no date so we skip the big dance, guest star Bob Saget.

I'm gonna go with great sign. We are taking 1 more guy in this class at least. Miles has always been 15 steps ahead of the game with recruiting and having a plan. We've had several guys in for visits and things are falling into place.

Ok, so the consensus seems to be that Elbert told us he's going to commit to us, and so we told Zach Smith we don't have room and now he can go ahead and commit to some lesser team (cough, Texas Tech, cough cough).  So, Elbert's Tuesday announcement must be based on when Miles can get there.  Obviously.  And he retweets people making the wrong guess because he thinks it's funny that people are saying it's Ohio State when it's not.  Do I got it pretty much?

Yes and hopefully it turns out to be correct.

That would be the perfect scenario!
