basketballjones Posted April 9, 2013 Report Posted April 9, 2013 But I DO NOT see how (after watching Akoy for 4 years) Agau fits in with this Louisville team and the style of play Pitino incorporates. Agree, disagree? And this isn't a criticism of Akoy what so ever... Quote
TheKamdyMan Posted April 9, 2013 Report Posted April 9, 2013 Not every player makes an impact their freshman season. I see him as a good bench player up until his junior or senior season to start if he's progressed enough. Quote
FredsSlacks Posted April 9, 2013 Report Posted April 9, 2013 Akoy seems like he could play Diengs role, But Akoy is a bit shorter. Quote
Concrete Posted April 9, 2013 Report Posted April 9, 2013 Akoy seems like he could play Diengs role, But Akoy is a bit shorter. Shorter, but thicker and probably a tad more athletic. I also think he has the potential to be a much better offensive player than Dieng Quote
colhusker Posted April 9, 2013 Report Posted April 9, 2013 Dieng knocked them all down tonight. Quote
Huskerpapa Posted April 9, 2013 Report Posted April 9, 2013 I doubt that Petino would have recruited him if he didn't think he could fit him into his program. I am only guessing, but I think Agau will do just fine at Louisville. Of course, he would have done just fine as a Husker as well. Quote
TheGov21 Posted April 9, 2013 Report Posted April 9, 2013 In my opinion Akoy made a good decision on going to a school that fits his style. Central and Louisville have pretty similar styles. They love to press and want to speed up the game. Akoy has length and is a good athlete. Like previously said, he probably won't make much of an impact as a freshman. He's still got a lot of developing to do on his offensive game. Quote
uneblinstu Posted April 9, 2013 Report Posted April 9, 2013 He's athletic, runs the floor well and isn't afraid to play defense. Seems like a Pitino guy to me, maybe not from day one, but he'll be just fine. Quote
NUdiehard Posted April 9, 2013 Report Posted April 9, 2013 As long as he is able to push, pull, grab, hold, hack and otherwise foul the opponent incessantly, he should do just fine. HB, Norm Peterson, Daledangdarn and 1 other 4 Quote
Daledangdarn Posted April 9, 2013 Report Posted April 9, 2013 As long as he is able to push, pull, grab, hold, hack and otherwise foul the opponent incessantly, he should do just fine. Agreed, it is so frustrating to watch Big East basketball. Quote

Silverbacked1 Posted April 9, 2013 Report Posted April 9, 2013 Well we know that Rick only took him so he wouldn't come here and turn us around. Rick was worried, very worried. Norm Peterson and TheGov21 2 Quote
