Just hope this doesn’t distract this years team.  We’ve got a nice season going so far.  I remember that PSU game.  It was awful.  You could tell the entire team was in a massive funk.

First reaction:   I CALL BULLS**T !!!   Not on what is alleged of the assistant coach but on the reported reaction of the HCAW.  No coach would handle the situation in the manner alleged.  Instead she

The thing about the “entire team meeting” is that it should be easily verifiable as there were so many people allegedly there.

 

It wouldn’t be completely surprising for something like that to happen though.  We as humans, in situations like those, usually aren’t completely prepared to handle them logically. It could very well have been an attempt at an “alright, let’s hash this out before we play” meeting that went off the rails.

That's my take on it.  The ruse happened the night before, and I imagine the gossip and video spread like wildfire among the team.  They probably didn't sleep well either, so everyone was tired and even grumpier the day of the game.  Williams may have decided to address it in a team meeting to try and get everyone focused again, except it went badly and spun out of control.  I'm not basing this off anything I know, just my gut.

 

Let me add this.  After what happened the night before, Scoggin should have been pulled aside and protected from the inevitable shit show that would follow.  At that point, nobody knows the entire story, so you proceed cautiously because if you have a brain in your head, you can see she's possibly a victim.  Unfortunately, it doesn't sound like that is what happened.

I don't think the order of these allegations (emphasis on allegations) is coincidental:

She continued to fear that WILLIAMS would blame ASHLEY for WILLIAMS’ Associate Head Coach initiating this relationship. She feared that WILLIAMS would retaliate against her. She was also concerned  that WILLIAMS’ husband, who was a personal friend of LOVE, was posting suggestive emojis on ASHLEY’s social media account.

LOVE began to pressure ASHLEY to participate in a sexual “threesome” with him and an undisclosed second man. She refused.

That’s the part I can’t wrap my head around. How on earth does someone in AW position not realize the sensitivity of that situation, and the responsibility she had to protect her player, and not know how to proceed with caution?

There's news local, regional, and national coverage everywhere. YouTube had maybe 5 posts that I saw that were reports by news stations.  Many of the sports websites are reporting the deal. So, it's well exposed in the news. I will missed the Omaha stations late today. Have to leave for an hour or so.

What better way to get back at someone who you feel did not protect you or stand up for you as a women. JMHO.

Love was also named in the suit.

My question is did Ashley seek out this mess, or did a lawyer get a hold of the story and seek her out?  If it's the latter it's a bit concerning.  The lawyer promises big money and will get paid big money and really doesn't care if causes Ashley more harm.

I would hope (and expect) that the tournament schedulers would have the good sense to NOT set up a bracket where that would be a possibility at any level short of a regional final.
