Hey, proud of this team. 2nd half was atrocious. But we're bruised and tired, had a lot of energy in this game; talent overtook us today. Doesn't underscore what this team has done in February and even parts of today.

Definitely why "overall body of work" is important.  We could maybe afford this one had we done better in January.

NCAA is effectively dead at this point, baring a wild ride in the Big Ten Tournament.

But it would be a travesty if a team like this doesn't get a chance in the NIT. These are the types of teams casual fans like to watch, getting hot late in the season.

If Keisei comes back next year, he has to figure out these cramps issue.  Losing him for the final 4 minutes also hurt us.  Probably not as much as not guarding them from 3 in the 2nd half.  All good things must come to an end.

How many teams go from 4-12 from three in the 1st half to 12-17 from three in the 2nd half?! It's a brutal way to lose on Senior Night. But this NU team has a lot of resolve. I'd imagine they will give it everything they got, as they've tried to do this season. It's all we can ask for.

Not a difference in the game, but how can 1 team have 5 illegal screens and #22 for MSU walks into every Nebraska player, and gets 0 called on him?

#0 had so many as well

Yeah that might have a difference in the game when you look at the other bullshit calls and non calls

I agree, but I doubt the NIT will take an under .500 team and I just don’t see how we make it to .500.  Iowa is the hottest team in the Big 10 and that would mean a 2-1 record in the B1G Tourney if we lose to Iowa.

I am super perplexed when the MSU player dribbled it over his head, and that was not illegal.  I thought it was a carry, but Jake said it should have been a travel.  Either way, it was illegal.   Does anyone know what Morris said about it?

Said it was a bobble, never had control. Which was crap. It was either a carry or a walk.

He said it was awkward and that's about it.  I also thought it was a carry in real time but if not, then it definitely is a travel

Morris said it was the proper call.

In related news, Morris has shit for brains.

It was not the proper call.  I could not find the play on rewind to see, but if memory serves me right.  He dribbles it at the top of the key.  Loses control of the dribble on his own.  Regains it after taking 4 steps.  Therefore it is a travel.

I did see one of the illegal screens where Griesel gets held (wasn't even a screen).  He was just trying to get through the lane.

It was one of the worst calls you'll ever see.  But in typical BTN color guy fashion, you can't doubt the integrity of the league officiating because you're serving the same master the refs are.  Basically, if you work for them you're a whore.

Almost as bad as when MSU has the ball at the free throw line in the backcourt.  Lawrence falls down from cramps.  Is laying on the ground, yet the refs don't stop the game.

To which Morris says “that’s the right thing to do, you can’t stop the game.”

Izzo spent more time on the court than half the players.  Yet, nothing.  I don't remember which game I was watching but a coach was on the sideline, went to half court (still on the sideline), and gets a technical for being out of the coach's box.  Yet, Izzo is literally at half court, ready for a jump ball.
