They said he went home to Africa last summer, rather than play AAU ball. I don't think he's ever played a summer of AAU ball, which is probably why he's not ranked. My default position on high school recruits is usually skepticism. But I'm sold on this kid. Hope he chooses to be N.

Baye visited Michigan in November after signing day, though.

I'm hoping we have a geographic advantage in recruiting this kid.  He is from Senegal.  Blaise Keita is from neighboring Mali.  Both are 6'10" and would make great roommates. And both would be around for several years.  Go get him Fred.

But Nebraska is the San Diego of the (current) Big Ten, so that has to give us an edge.

Seems to be a combination of high profile coach and/or post players from Africa on their roster. We have both in Fred and Blaise.

Robin Washut seems optimistic about this, based on such things as Ernie Ziegler's "deep connections in the African basketball community" where Ndongo first started in Senegal.
