Diop started last night and had 8&6 in 20 minutes without missing.

Lloyd (if he's even a former husker given how his tenure went) had 6 on 2-8 from the field.

Rice shockingly didn't play even though PSU cleared their bench. Didn't look to see if he was injured though.

Think that's it

I believe he was out with an injury

Rice was out per the B1G availability report

In case you wondered who these former Huskers were playing for now:

Ramel Lloyd Jr. for Long Beach St. (vs La Verne Leopards) was 2 for 8 from the field (0-4 on threes) and 2-6 on FTs in 20 min.

Matar Diop is at Loyola Marymount.

Eli Rice was out on opening night due to injury at Penn State. Nebraska will play in State College, PA, on February 19, 2025.

Northeastern St.'s Keon Edwards played an exhibition game last night vs Tulsa: https://goriverhawksgo.com/sports/mens-basketball/stats/2024-25/tulsa/boxscore/13812

Wyoming's Oleg Kojenets had 3 points & 4 rebounds in 14 min. last night vs Concordia-St. Paul Golden Bears: https://www.espn.com/mens-college-basketball/game/_/gameId/401722406/conc-st-paul-wyoming

Keon's quite the traveler. DePaul -> Nebraska -> Milwaukee -> Northeastern State

Just FYI

CJ Wilcher had 6 points in just 11 minutes coming off the bench in T A&M's upset loss to Central Florida last night.  2 of 5 from 3PT.

J. Lawrence started for Rhode Island but just played 14 minutes before fouling out - scored 3 points.   RI won easily over Fairfield.

Wilcher was also the player to miss the shot at the buzzer to tie it. Thing was dang close to going in.

CJ will likely not be in their rotation once they get into conference play.

Jamarques Lawrence is playing pretty well for Rhode Island. I do wish both of those guys were still on our roster.

From what I can tell, Eli Rice is now suiting up for Penn State but is at the end of the bench. Got mop up duty against St. Francis and that’s about it.

CJ played just 6 mins last night and seems to be finding his way deeper into the bench.

Only box score watching, but I can't understand it. Outside of Wade Taylor and CJ, their team is shooting 25% from 3. Feels like CJ's 42% should turn into meaningful minutes, but what do I know?

They just don't know how to utilize him like we did. Honestly-- CJ was exactly what you hoped for in a role player. Knew his role, accepted it, excelled at it. He could have helped us this year.
