How does it take teams a half to figure out to stop shooting 3's, and get down low.

We play out of control.  We can't make shots within 3 feet or free throws.  We can't defend.  We are bad.

Really disappointed in our ability to make adjustments and coming out flat after halftime.  Don’t know if this is a Hoiberg or team issue, but it’s happened in games we’ve been up and down in.

PSU took 20 3's in the 1st half.  6 in the 2nd half.  Add to that we can't make shots,  it's a recipe for disaster.

This is the most disinterested I’ve been in a season since the Barry Collier years.  It’s really disappointing and I can’t imagine what the average fan is thinking.  Was hoping we’d show some fight and win some games to end the year.  This season is heading into Petteway last year territory.

This mid-week bye is long overdue - guys have looked worn out, disinterested, or both for good chunks of these last 2 games. Hopefully they can get refreshed after a couple of days off.

 

First half went about as well as it could - PSU played hero ball and took tons of 3s and let us stay in it; played right into what we were trying to make them do.

 

But once they decided to actually go inside in the first part of the 2nd half, we were done.

 

Watkins would be a lottery pick if he played against us 10 times a year. That dude always kills us.

 

Liked how Yvan started the game - very active. Good to see him bounce back after the rough outing vs UM. And Cheatham and Burke both had really good offensive stretches for a few minutes where they kind of took over. Easley had a few really good defensive stretches. That's about all for positives.

 

Not a pretty week, which is really unfortunate after they had been playing pretty well for a few games.

Seems like teams are figuring out how to play defense against us. Chase shooters off the 3 pt line and have a big to defend the rim.

Just finished watching on delay.  Not surprised by the result.  PSU plays good defense and they have size and power in the post.  Chalk it up to experience.  Cam has some growing to do.   Not sure what adjustments we could make to prevent the outcome.  We have a week to prepare for a thrashing by Iowa.  It’s just the way it is this year.  No need to gnash teeth over it.
