I have not heard since then. It would be cool to do some charity stuff (water or food collection) or a 50/50 raffle for flood victims if we do play. brfrad 1 Quote

khoock Posted March 18, 2019 Report Posted March 18, 2019 Was it always scheduled as a double header with Air Force? Or are we playing them an additional time to make up for all the postponements/cancellations? Quote

huskerbaseball13 Posted March 19, 2019 Report Posted March 19, 2019 Going to have to make a run and string together quite a few wins if we want a chance at an at large this year. Unfortunatly, the Big Ten is looking pretty mediocre. Our first 3 Big Ten opponents currently have a combined record of 12-41. We need to go 7-2 or better in those series for RPI purposes. Quote
brfrad Posted March 21, 2019 Report Posted March 21, 2019 Hopefully, we have our rotation figured out. Matt Waldron, Fisher, and Perry. Curry in mid-week games. Hopefully, Luensmen and Schwellenbach are healthy. We'll need them. Quote

royalfan Posted April 1, 2019 Report Posted April 1, 2019 Wow, looking over how our offense compares to some other big ten teams in things I deem to be important in college baseball. Things like Total bases per k. K's per home run, Stolen base success rates etc. It is downright pathetic. Erstad clearly does not understand analytics very well, and clearly is not recruiting the right type of players. Striking out a lot and hitting for no power whatsoever is a a horrific blend of ingredients. Indiana 5.46 K per homer Nebraska 26.4 Iowa total bases per K 2.17 Nebraska 1.33 Grasp that for a second. 1.33 total bases per K Quote
Silverbacked1 Posted April 2, 2019 Report Posted April 2, 2019 Inside the park grand slam!!! 4-0 Huskers Kittens to bat in bottom of first. Quote
jdw Posted April 2, 2019 Report Posted April 2, 2019 6 for kst is wearing a belt buckle, never seen that before. Quote

khoock Posted April 6, 2019 Report Posted April 6, 2019 Very pleased so far. Aside from the Oregon State series we have been in every single game/series. Loss to UC-Riverside, Sam Houston St, and Minny (2) were all games we easily could have came out on top. Bugeaters1 and Silverbacked1 1 1 Quote

On the flip side our pitchers are shutting down the other teams. 18.37 K per HR. 1.37 Total bases per k. 5th in the conference in both areas. We are 3rd in throwing runners out trying to steal. A couple other stats. We lead the conference in bb/9 at 3.14. I like us throwing strikes. This next stat shows how different the game is now. We are 9th in the conference with 8.33 k/9. I would have thought that would be top 5 for sure, if not near the top. The next series could be rough as PSU leads the conference at 10.31 K's/9. Quote
hskr4life Posted April 7, 2019 Report Posted April 7, 2019 Now 8-0 at home and have had 5 home games canceled. Six total games canceled I believe. Very easily could be 22-10 right now. Quote
