HuskerActuary Posted May 31, 2019 Report Posted May 31, 2019 Zaire is going to be a senior, so there's not a lot of time left in his recruitment. Is he actually going to play college ball? If yes, one would his presume we've got a pretty good shot since he only has two offers? Assuming the offer is still valid from Hoiberg. Quote

Besides DePaul he also has an offer from Rhode Island. It's probable he has interest from mid-major schools but doesn't care to publicly acknowledge it. He very well might end up being a great college player or even a pro but right now from his offers he looks like a high-midmajor/low Power 5 guard who just happens to be the son of a NBA legend. I think the scout on him is that he has handles but can't shoot from outside? Doesn't sound like the type of guy we are interested in recruiting these days. Searching 4 Chester Surles 1 Quote

His Daddy was a Mid-Major so he might end up there. 49r 1 Quote
Huskerpapa Posted June 1, 2019 Report Posted June 1, 2019 Yeah, Dwayne had a rather difficult childhood fraught with experiences a large portion of the population can't even fathom. His recruitment was limited due in a large part by his upbringing. According to his bio, he was recruited by three teams. Those teams were Marquette (where he went), Illinois State and DePaul. It is possible that Junior will mature late and become a very fine player. Somebody should be willing to take a risk on him. Searching 4 Chester Surles 1 Quote
hhcmatt Posted June 17, 2020 Report Posted June 17, 2020 For the sake of housekeeping Zaire reclassified to 2021 and is going to Brewster Academy for postgrad Shawn Eichorst's Toupee and Silverbacked1 1 1 Quote
AuroranHusker Posted October 13, 2021 Report Posted October 13, 2021 It never seemed like Zaire was going to play college ball. I wonder how good Z-Wade can be. I guess only time will tell.... Quote
hhcmatt Posted October 13, 2021 Report Posted October 13, 2021 Worth noting that Dwayne Wade is a partial owner of the Utah Jazz Vinny 1 Quote
