48 in the first half gives one a lot to be excited about.

28 in second half is okay

Hanging on after playing poorly in second half gives some hope!

Road win vs a power 5 school even when it doesn't count has to be a boost.

Decent:  30% from 3

Yuck:  16 turnovers, lost on the glass by a rebound after dominating early.  

 

The talent is there, yall.  It really is.

I think our defensive quickness and length on the perimeter looks pretty remarkable.  Held them to 8% from 3!  <-- pretty remarkable stat.

 We probably would’ve played better in the second half if we hadn’t had such a large lead that we were trying to protect. We stopped being aggressive and started playing not to lose rather than playing to win and that always seems to get the other team back into the game. That’s what happened today. Something to learn from. Still very encouraging that we were able to get out to a 23 point lead.

Mississippi St didn't take a ton of 3's but holding them to 1-13 beyond the arc seems not too shabby.

If you told me 76-72 before the game I would say hey, that's great!  How it went down was a little weird, but we did enough to keep the lead and get the win.  

 

  Jordy quietly had a great game I thought.  Copeland will be fine.

So I missed the last 30 seconds so I could go down to the KCP&L district to watch KU play Mizzou. Man this place is nuts it's like the Final Four or something. Both teams are INTENSE.

Oh, and Devonte Graham is good. Like REALLY good. Glynns gonna have his hands full.

Some quotes... not specific... stated....

 

"Nebraska isn't even that good."  "They were picked to finish 13th in the Big 10."  "We (MSU) are going to be terrible again this year."

 

Most of it wasn't that we were good.  It was that they were terrible, played terrible, were missing Ado, yada yada.  Sucks because I expect them to be a decent SEC team this year and I could see that from the game they played today.
