PG #1

And, speculation is that Nick Fuller could graduate after this year so he can grad transfer to "play" one season elsewhere. But, mere speculation at this point in time...

Regardless if he graduates or not, he should be "forced" out to make room for an incoming PG no doubt about it.

The fact that Mr. Horne rode the bench all night...perhaps he will exit, stage left.  I would really hate if that were to happen.

There's gotta be something going on behind the scenes. Maybe something happening off the court that Miles doesn't particularly agree with.

Kind of what I was thinking....  Don't know if it will be him.   2-3 games from now..it will be McVeigh back on the bench....who knows with our lineup decisions.   Either way...we have a ton of guys in that 3/4 position.   There are only so many minutes to go around.   Adding Copeland will only detract from them.

Miles picks a kid every year for the role Horne is playing.

IDK, I think Horne had a role in that decision, too.

I am not saying Horne has played without flaw, however, each year Miles has one kid that the moment he messes up he gets yanked.  Horne is that kid this year.  Webster was that kid his Freshman year, Jack was that kid last year.

On the other hand, Horne makes a mental error within seconds of checking in virtually every time.  Not occasionally, but constantly.  It's one thing to let a kid play through an occasional mistake of that type.   But this is ridiculous.  Jeriah needs to accept responsibility and improve his mental function in practice and while he is on the bench.  Be ready to go.  Improve the details and parts of the game other than shooting, and the minutes will come.  Accept that the coach isn't trying to keep you down, but make you better.

Nobody makes more mental mistakes or "checks out" more than Roby IMO

Horne isn't very athletic.  He needs to partially overcome that by knowing what defense we are in and whether we are switching screens.  Zay is way more athletic than Horne and any coach is going to keep going with him for a longer time.   Zay has a ton of "I'm a freshman" moments also, but they involve more decision making with the ball vs. pure mental mistakes or just flat out getting abused defensively within seconds of coming in the game.  And, when his sins are pronounced, I don't have any problem with trusting the coach on how to manage that through playing time decisions with him as well.

with 10+ games left on the schedule, it's possible miles is trying to light a fire under horne and is planning to play him heavy minutes to finish out the season.

At least that is what i hope is going on. You can argue horne has been our best freshman but has played the least minutes.

Mission accomplished.  For one game anyway:)
