Swan88 Posted September 5, 2016 Report Posted September 5, 2016 He has an offer from SMU. And he picked up an offer from UNLV in the last few days. Here is a blurb about him from a tournament back in April: Nana Akenten - 2017 – SG – Illinois Celtics/Hoopers Akenten was sensational and only got better as the weekend wore on. The 6-foot-6 shooting guard was second in the league in floor impact (26.0) and second in scoring (22.0 ppg). Akenten takes a lot of tough shots and still made 59.4 percent of his attempts in four games. A willing rebounder on both ends, Akenten also averaged 5.3 boards per game. A rise and fire shooter with terrific range, Akenten knocked down 48.0 percent of his attempts from downtown. In perhaps the performance of the weekend, Akenten went bananas for a 31-point effort. Neebrasketball Posted September 6, 2016 Report Posted September 6, 2016 Why no stars from any site? Quote
hhcmatt Posted September 6, 2016 Report Posted September 6, 2016 Why no stars from any site? Could be be because he was playing for a lower level AAU team. Not to pick at old wounds, but seems like Arop plus guard skills minus ACL tear. Also, his highlights are full of him shooting which seems like an attribute we could use. A shooting guard who can shoot, imagine that. Quote

jimmykc Posted September 10, 2016 Report Posted September 10, 2016 Saw Nana on the sidelines and he seemed to be comfortable with all the incoming frosh he was with, especially Jordan. Molinari brought TO over for a photo session and then Coach Miles showed up a little later and seemed to be hitting it off with him as they watched the tunnel walk together. So whatever the outcome of the visit, it wasn't for lack of giving our best shot. By the way, counting the hair, Roby looked 6'10 to me today. AuroranHusker 1 Quote

hhcmatt Posted September 12, 2016 Report Posted September 12, 2016 I keep coming here hoping for an update on the visit...any update...from anyone? Typically you'd see something from Robin but he wasn't around on Saturday Nana's HS coach was along for the trip Quote
ajb5856 Posted September 12, 2016 Report Posted September 12, 2016 He came, his visit went well, he had a good time, and then he went home. The coaching staff likes where they sit with Akenten. I think Robin was busy with other things this weekend like welcoming a new child. Silverbacked1 1 Quote
