  1. I am not sure this has been disclosed, but I saw this little blurb while perusing the Chicago Tribune: Staff stuff: After originally committing to join Fred Hoiberg’s staff at Nebraska, Windy City Bulls coach Charlie Henry is now contemplating taking another college job or remaining with the G League, a source said. [email protected]
  2. For "some reason" I have no doubt that Coach Hoiberg has the ability to close a deal.
  3. Easy peasy, the win that put us into the sweet 16...oh wait, that game will soon take place, my bad.
  4. I'm sort of waiting to see how the final roster shakes out. One never knows ;)
  5. ...it will be a very interesting off-season.
  6. He is a good kid and he did a lot of heartfelt community work. He is also a good basketball player. This doesn't shock me. He has to go where he is comfortable and I wish him well. He will be missed.
  7. Dear Iowa State "fans," get over yourselves! We can call Coach Hoiberg anything we want!! He is the Mayor of Husker Hoops. He is the Mayor of Haymarket. He is a HUSKER!
  8. John Wooden is spinning in his grave!!!
  9. Wait, what, there are two identical threads now???
  10. The Big Ten is representing.
  11. Michigan State makes it to the final four. This game we played, we had a chance, a really good chance. This loss also sent us into the circle of death. We were close fans; but with Coach Fred, we may finally push to that upper level.
  12. Come on...get the second today, come on!
  13. Here is another observation. We have a new coach; big news right? The team(s) have to play on the floor. When I played, certain floors added to the atmosphere and some seemed tight, others seemed massive. Yet, in most cases, the actual floor sizes were identical. Point being, we have two coaches who should have a say in how the court looks and feels. If one or both say, I have no wants or wishes, then fine. But if the coaches want a certain uniqueness, then let that quirk be part of the floor.
  14. Well, I will start. We will play in the Big Ten. So about two-thirds of our schedule is set. Also, if things go as previously planned, there is an Italian trip in the offing.
  15. Ughhh. Purdue had that game. Edwards had a magnificent game, but they sort of pi**ed it down their leg at the end.
  16. I have an inkling that I will be renewing all of our level one seats...that said, I am not sure how I can be any louder than I have been. The elderly couple that sits in our section were going to give up their tickets next year...so anyone wanting level one seating should keep their eyes peeled.
  17. Not sure...did Dad like playing for Fred?
  18. I remember this event. If I recall correctly, it was the reason he stopped wearing ties. Perhaps I am mis-remembering.
  19. I betting that any player who Coach Fred wants to retain, has been contacted and likely re-recruited.
  20. I have always admired Isaiah because of his common sense and the fact that he is very grounded. Isaiah will make a sound decision after listening to all the proper people. He will be back if that is the right decision. But don't discount what college means to many players. He loses that experience in exchange for a lot of coin, but it becomes more of a grind. But again, everything will likely be weighed/considered.
  21. Yup...I switched, at least in the short term.
  22. Honestly, he is a strong advocate and participant on this site. It is not my want or my place to present his information. If/when he rejoins us, he can share this information, until then, I will keep his takes silent.
  23. Yes sir. I can validate this to the enth degree. By the way, that same individual also provided the names of the assistants.
  24. By the way...I also like my new photo...
