  1. Whew...glad we salvaged a game in this series. Games like yesterday can happen, you sure don't want to have them happen often, but they do happen. The one that was a gut punch was Friday. That one got away.
  2. We have had a few... Cary Cochran Chris Cresswell Eric Piatkowski Tom Wald Troy Piatkowski Brian Conklin Andrew Drevo Paul Velander Matt Karn Well, some of them missed a lot more shots than we would like...And at least one of the Pike's was pretty athletic.

  4. Is it a possibility, that if the planets align, we could still see Brady redshirt. If he could take a year, build his body, improve movement and further improve his shot; perhaps he could be just what the doctor ordered in the middle.
  5. True. I am attempting to recall when the senior transfer rule came into affect. It hasn't been very long, correct? Heck, for that matter, transferring was not that "popular" until about ten years ago plus/minus. When discussing transfers in total though, wouldn't you say that the Huskers have not only gained but also lost our share of transfers over that time span?
  6. If you don't have something relevant to share, don't bother lol.
  7. Maybe this has been asked and answered, if so, I apologize. But I am wondering if there has been any word on the status of some of the peripheral staff. Do we know if Greg Eaton (Director of Operations), Matt Holt (Video Coordinator) and Tim Wilson (Strength Coach) were retained? I believe the team, such as it is, is working out and so forth. I would think those positions would be put into place asap.
  8. Regarder en avant, pas en arrière
  9. Well actually he was AWC (Absent with cause) rather than AWOL (Absent without leave) ?
  10. https://journalstar.com/sports/huskers/mens-basketball/hoiberg-working-with-roby-to-prepare-nba-workout-process/article_b535d34a-0881-5b4d-b0c3-f3ece77c1196.html The coach said he's put Roby through several individual workouts, with an emphasis on the two-on-two and three-on-three drills he'll see when he works out for certain teams. He also said Roby is taking advantage of the rule change that allows college players to hire an agent in an advisory role in the work-through process while retaining their college eligibility.
  11. Outstanding!
  12. Yes it is.
  13. There may be a slight difference between then and now. We have two top level recruiters, at least one of whom can recruit anywhere. Think about it, back then, we could not recruit a PG that could outplay or out shoot Benny. Benny could hustle his butt off, but almost every other element of his game was that of a two star, rather than a high three or four star player. Given what we hear about our new staff, finding and landing high level talent should be less problematic...right?
  14. Oh, sorry. I love old school...but
  15. Heck, arguably we have been playing without back to basket bigs at Nebraska for a number of years. The DIFFERENCE is that under our new regime, all are players will be shooters.
  16. I am in favor of transfers if... - they are a cultural fit - they will work their collective as*es off - they are HIGH Division I ballers - they check their egos at the door and understand, accept and can thrive in the Hoiberg system. - they are better than the players we previously had...that is not to disparage the players last year. I simply want top ten talent. I trust the staff. I am positive they have criteria that the players must fit, but goodness, this is going to be a wild ride.
  17. Wow, what a blow for Donovan. Hope his recovery goes well. Don't rush it young man!!!
  18. It is an ongoing subject in the recruiting forum.
  19. Good luck Nana...and a small bit of advice. If you plan to attend another school, take advantage of the second chance, and advance your education!
  20. Yes, but even with the greatest coaching, some are much better at it than others. Not to disparage my wife, but she could go through the most intensive shooting drills and coaching ever provided, but she will never, ever be a good shooter. Just saying.
  21. Folks, status quo is not all right? Who here wants to stay on the bottom edge of relevance? Who wants to be in the upper tier of Division I basketball, a consistent top 20 team? We can't get to where we are going with mid-level talent. We have some talented recruiters who are going to bring in talented players. Don't worry if we have roster attrition. It is going to happen. But others will come in, and the building will begin.
  22. Huh, what?
  23. Good fit. Love to see Jace as a walk on.
  24. We started with NEEbraskaball, then moved to Nebraskaball. We are now in a new era. We are now going to watch NEWbraskaball. What is new? The Hoiberg offense. Frankly, it is something we have not really seen. Perhaps a bit of Joe Cipriano, with a mix of Danny Nee. But this is going to be different. Hang on for the ride, or rather, enjoy the ride.
