  1. Yes sir. I can validate this to the enth degree. By the way, that same individual also provided the names of the assistants.
  2. By the way...I also like my new photo...
  3. Yes sir. I can validate this to the enth degree.
  4. I am soooo glad this is done....and I am soooo glad that we have ourselves a home run hire. Now, I need to control my expectations, just a bit. Welcome to Lincoln NE Coach Hoiberg!
  5. This is the biggest change in baseball. A hitter used to "shorten up" when they got two strikes. A hitter used to go with the pitch. Not now, lock and load and let it rip.
  6. The next coach may, or may not, be the greatest Husker Hoops coach. But jeez, let him coach at least one game...please. As of right this second, I think Iba may have been our best coach...and also the least respected.
  7. I have no issue with an ex-player not liking an administration or a particular coach. Something obviously happened. It typically takes two to tango. Chubick gave his heart, soul and a lot of skin to this program. I am hoping he will feel comfortable to once again come home.
  8. TT is making Michigan's offense look inept...then again, Michigan's defense is making the TT offense look below average...
  9. https://journalstar.com/sports/huskers/sipple/steven-m-sipple-lue-expresses-interest-in-husker-job-but/article_5a7cd885-4669-5e3e-ab6f-ee2203c71852.html Those dreaded "sources" are saying one of our own is interested. Mr. Lue, please enter the discussion and have a seat at the table.
  10. Given the current list of proposed of mayoral candidates for Lincoln, I for one, would be willing to cede the election to Fred.
  11. Uhhh, okay then. I will wait.
  12. Sorry, for us to compete at the highest level, you need dudes. Ask yourself, are either of these guys "dudes" that will take you to the Sweet 16 and beyond?
  13. Nope this was the right thread. So anywho, I was thinking about our roster. Really, most of the roster will turnover. Perhaps sans a few, but here are my thoughts: Glynn - gone. Palmer - gone. Tanner - gone. Cope - gone. Trueblood - gone. Isaiah - I am betting 60/40 to return. Arguments certainly can be made either way. Nana - gone Tom - 60/40 that he returns. If he leaves, it is to follow Hunter. Amir - 70/30 that he returns. I am not sure he will have as many options to go to high division one team Davis - 50/50. So much is unknown, including health and his fit with new coach Burke - 80/20 that he stays. If he transfers, does he lose a year? Thor - 75/25 that he leaves. Sort of the same as with Karrington... Brady - 95% sure that he returns Costello - No clue. What parameters will the new coach put on walk-on's?
  14. Wait...ummm, I thought we were talking about roster attrition??? Dang, I must have opened the wrong thread.
  15. Another solid win. Perhaps, just perhaps we are seeing a good team come together.
  16. It will be interesting what philosophy our new coach brings to the table. We certainly can/could/should anticipate transfers. But perhaps they will want JUCO vs. Transfers. Then will they want Graduate transfers or transfers with more eligibility?
  17. This is far from a done deal. Tom is simply protecting himself. Could he go, sure. But could he stay? Absolutely, if the next coach wants him and if Tom likes the staff, the philosophy and so forth. This comes back to expectations.
  18. I would think that the "list" would have some diversity.
  19. Hard to go through a firing...for everyone. This was handled in a classy manner...all around.
  20. Not a time to cheer. Tim and his stuff did a lot of good! Nothing but respect and well wishes. We now can move on.
  21. The ebbs and flows of speculation and sources. There is one thing we can be certain about...there will be uncertainty.
  22. Wow...this was not the exodus news that I expected.
  23. I certainly hope we land the Mayor. Of course he will now be elected to the position of Mayor of Haymarket. That said, I have a question. Let's say we bring in a coach with a top ten salary. Would you, the fan, then have an expectation that we would be a consistant top ten team? I sort of have that expectation for the football team, so I foresee my expectations ramp up exponentially un the near future. I believe that a fairly consistant expectation this year was to win at least once in the NCAA tourney. Methinks we fell woefully short.
  24. Season...over. Team fought hard, but the foul trouble with Roby, his ejection and a total lack of depth ended up toasting us. Hated the months of January and February. The last two weeks or so were good to see. Showed a lot of fight, but the bar was set, and we did not meet or exceed the expected height. There is an important life lesson that many people miss, but I will not lecture. But as a person who has been on this earth for a long time, I have learned an important lesson, just because we may hate the sin, you do not need to hate the sinner. Coach Miles is a man of character and he has performed with class and brought positive national press to Husker basketball. That said, he quite honestly is not the coach to take us to the level that the fans expect and deserve. We have had a lot of coaches at this fine institution that fits that M.O. So there is no need to bash him or his staff, although many seem intent on doing so. But it is time. Now, that said, the next few days, weeks and months are going to be very interesting. I also hope that the fractures that exist within Husker basketball nation will soon be fixed/healed. Go Big Red!
