  3. Nebraska men’s basketball team will host a free Red/White scrimmage at the Bob Devaney Sports Center on Sunday, Oct. 13. Tipoff is set for 2 p.m. and the Devaney Center will have a reduced capacity for the event with approximately 6,000 seats available. Concession stands will be open, and gates will open one hour before the scrimmage. The scrimmage itself will be a full-game simulation. Free parking will be available for the scrimmage in the lots around the Devaney Center and on Innovation Campus. Claim your tickets here View full article View full article

  5. No team with more than 1, only 1 unanimous selection, and no one from MSU, Illinois, or UCLA. It's going to be a wide open B1G season.

  6. Wild how much reputation plays into these preseason rankings. It will be interesting to look back on this in March 2025.

  7. Does everyone remember when Saturday during the winter months was college basketball day? I counted only 4 Saturday games this year for Nebraska! There are 11 Sundays, which I don't mind as it fits my schedule better but it really seems strange having such few Saturday games.

  8. Man, our players [team] should feel the disrespect that flows from the media. I guess we simply need to keep winning and remain stealth.

  9. I don't think we'll ever have to worry about expectations being too high in polls like this.

  11. I've always said that John Sauber is the smartest and most handsome writer in the Big Ten. Whereas, Marcus Fuller and Brian Nuebert are a couple of know-nothing hacks.

  13. Being able to kids in Indiana "yeah Purdue runs good offense now, but I'm the reason they started to run good offense in the first place," isn't too shabby of a recruiting pitch.

  14. Notre Dame has had quite the recruiting run over the last two weeks. Shrewsberry clearly has sold some folks on his vision, and for what its worth, I'd buy into that vision too. I think Shrewsberry is on the fast track to the upper echelon of coaches in the sport.

Let’s remember this was at the Height of BIG Monday on ESPN when the Big Eight was arguably the Best Basketball Conference in the Country. The Big East at 6:00, followed by the Big 8, then the Big West with UNLV was usually the Nightcap. We didn’t know how lucky we were…

  20. That performance that night by Missouri was one of the most impressive ones I ever saw at the Devaney. They also brought the Golden Girls with them, as well as quite the ho-train that sat behind the bench.
