Hard ro fault anyone who picks NU last. Based on what is known about NU, it's perfectly reasonable. I think they'll finish better than that, but it's hard for me to pick who they'll finish ahead of.

Plus 5 million.... if you mixed both boards you would dig for hours trying to keep up on the latest interest, offers, and videos. I think the current recruiting board works great with the recruits name, position , and year in the thread title. Super easy, leave it alone.

Yes, but to be clear, not until AFTER the final buzzer. After all there are people who don't care about the game itself. Leave all the minutiae leading up to the final score to the drivel we put in cip's game threads.

sadly you'll never please everyone on a site they go to for free. The issue was that the news ended up in the middle of a giant thread about a guy so it's hard to notice unless you're digging in there that something of this significance has happened. That's true. A new thread on the guy would have been nice. There was. I merged it. I've now put myself on double secret probation

Really? How hard is it to check the recruiting board? That is the first place I go every time I come to this site. Navigating a website is pretty easy, especially one that is set up as well as HHC.

Kamdy not everyone knew he needed knee surgery, might have been everyone but me, but thus not everyone. I also understand WHY he got the minutes he did and maybe my glasses were too rose colored based on what I read. I guess I worded that I would prefer Parker gets the minutes this year and not Peltz poorly and that imo, Parker is a much better option. I think anyone would expect a guy that had 6 D-1 offers to be better than a guy with none. But if guy with no offers can provide almost the same level of play statistically that 6 offers guy can and you can show 6 offer guy the door for someone more highly regarded I am all for it. I think we'd all take Gilmore, Bolden, Solomon, etc if it meant Benny were gone. Hes a great person but he will be limited in what he can provide NU that someone else couldnt do. I look at it like the WAR stat in baseball. WAR if youre not familiar with it stands for Wins Above Replacement. Meaning if a player for a team was replaced with the average player at that position how many wins for your team does that good player give you over said average player. Benny's WAR stat so far wouldnt be any better than Peltz or even Menke for that matter. Benny isnt going to win you any games above a replacement player so youd want to find a guy that CAN raise your WAR stats.

Might as well visit both. Doesn't seem like a small school sort of kid and has the relationship with Hunter. It will serve as a great contrast.

One last one...not quite done so I'll describe it here. Somewhat based on a penny but couldn't find a good side shot of Miles. It would say at the top: "In Miles We Trust" On the left side it would says "HHC" On the right it would say 2013-14 If this seems like a winner I'll finish it.

On the matter of over-signing by one, here is information from a January 2008 article on the subject (bold face added for emphasis): "Ohio State men's coach Thad Matta said he was one of the coaches who pushed the conference to allow oversigning in basketball. For the first time, with the recruiting classes announced in November, the Big Ten allowed its basketball teams to oversign by one player. Matta said that was an important step in creating wiggle room for schools with players who may or may not leave for the NBA. Coaches must prepare for potential departures and need to oversign at times to do it. Matta, only half-jokingly, said he told superstar center Greg Oden, one of three OSU freshman who left for the NBA after last season, that he could come back for his sophomore season this year, but not for his junior year because his scholarship had already been given away. "I was looking last year and thinking, 'I could get caught holding the bag here if you don't let me oversign,' " Matta said. So the conference made a concession, as it had in football. For the players and the coaches, the flexibility of more recruits creates an edge."

Sorry, Nebrasketballer. I re-read your post and I think i understand what you mean now. I think it's pretty unlikely that a current scholarship player quits before signing day. I just don't see the advantage to having an experienced player (despite their talent level) who has practiced with the team all summer quit right at the start of the season. But I see what you're saying. That would give us 3 available scholarships so that signing 4 would only be over by 1.
