Creighton is better than they have been.  We have beaten them like a bad child for years.  It may be tougher this year. Love to beat them so give 'em hell tomorrow night.

Nope.  Beat 'em like a rented mule.  As it should be.

For those who went to the game, did anyone wear an Eric Crouch football jersey just for spite?

Yep, we did do that.  No Crouch jerseys this time, but everyone was preoccupied with Keyshawn and Gebbia sitting in the front row.  I was just waiting for a Crayton fan decked out in blue going up and getting our football recruit's autograph.  Would have photographed that.

I thought it was supposed to be a Tommie Frazier jersey.

RPI question....

Nebraska --17-7 (6-3 against top 50 RPI & 10-6 against top 100) - RPI 25

Minnesota --11-9 (0-1 against top 50 RPI & 3-5 against top 100) - RPI 22

How is that possible?

That's a good question an I'm not positive but I'm guessing Nebraska playing two more 200+ RPI games at this point is the difference.  Minnesota's SOS is also 33 spots higher.  My guess? In addition to the "bad" games all of Minnesota's games have either been away or a neutral field which carries more weight than a win at home.  Huskers have now had 10 home games.  I don't think their RPI will hold up down the stretch.

Because ... computers.

I think it boils down to we have played more games that hurt our RPI even with a win.

Always nice to beat little sister. Just going by appearance....you can tell Nebraska recruits a different athlete. Creighton was very very tiny.

I've honestly been thinking the same thing for a couple years now. I always make the joke that Creighton Prep must have suited up for the game because, physically, CU looks like a bunch of high schoolers.

Bottom of the article, Huskers to the CWS has a nice little ring to it (knock on wood).

Posted on another site that I don't know if we have the arms to get it done.  But if the bats remaind hot all year you never know.  I'm still just hoping for regional play and a few wins at this point.  After last years collapse I'm not banking on anything.

Bad game tonight.  3 1/2 hours of bad baseball.  Cold as hell.  Too many walks. Horrible home plate ump.  Illinois starter went to the rosin after every other pitch.  SLOW.  Did I mention it was cold?

The walks rear their ugly head again. Hopefully it turns it out like the Wichita State series where we got all of our bad pitching out the first game and threw it pretty well the last two games.
