He's another North Carolina kid

Corprew reminded us of a younger Andrew White but with better athleticism and ball handling skills. While not the shooter of White, Corprew is smooth as silk and has the unique blend of skill and athleticism. He was explosive off the dribble and is extremely quick off his feet.

Since this message board, like all others, thrives on unsubstantiated rumor and speculation, let's add this one to the mix:

Deshawn Corprew has a high school teammate who is also uncommitted for the 2016 class, according to this report out of Georgia:

"there was a twist that was hinted at the very beginning.  If Corprew is interested in Georgia, . . . then there is a possibility that Georgia could try to land his high school teammate, Papa N’Diaye, in a tandem deal.."

Here is a link to N'Diaye's Rivals page: he is a 6'9" / 215 lb. Rivals four-star Center (ESPN and Scout 3-star PF), with Nebraska listed by Rivals and Scout as having interest.  ESPN says Mississippi State has offered.

Good eye...it probably isn't any sort of package deal thing but I don't think it's a coincidence that they are teammates.

I have been saying we needed another guard. I kind of like this kids's film. I certainly think he looks like a lot better prospect than Bakari Evelyn. Didn't jack McVeigh come on our radar about this time last year? There is some precedent for us finding a decent recruit at this point in the process. What I can't figure out is how a 4-star guard is still available to the point where we can still get involved.

I went on ahead and looked at several of his videos online and he sure seems to look the part of a rivals four-star, ranked #112 in the country. I certainly wouldn't complain about us getting involved and potentially landing a kid like this at this point. Call me very enthusiastic about this development.

Here is some information from a Wake Forest article dated in June of 2015:

"Corprew is continuing a streak of continued improvement from his junior season. In 16 EYBL games for Boo Williams, he is averaging 15.9 points, 6.1 rebounds, and 1.4 steals, while shooting 43% from beyond the arc, and 73% from the charity stripe."

With the dumpster fire that is Missouri U, and the Mizzou basketball program being as crappy as it is, I don't see how anyone can be confident that they could land *any* recruit.

I mean, the radio guys here in KC are talking about how much folks want to fire Kim Anderson, and he's only midway through his second year!
