jimmykc Posted October 17, 2015 Report Posted October 17, 2015 I'm betting he is the best athlete to come from Gothenburg since the Novacek boys hhcmatt 1 Quote
The Polish Rifle Posted October 17, 2015 Report Posted October 17, 2015 Looks like he had a couple D-1 football offers. We need as many big bodies as we can get at this point. Quote
Norm Peterson Posted October 28, 2015 Report Posted October 28, 2015 He lost an inch and gained 5 pounds in between Bryan's tweet and Robin's tweet. That's impressive. Quote

AuroranHusker Posted October 28, 2015 Author Report Posted October 28, 2015 Must have been the cold water. When you're the size of Silver, it must be simple things that make a world of difference. Quote
49r Posted November 13, 2015 Report Posted November 13, 2015 I'm more intrigued by Tanner every day. Apparently so is everyone else. I loved this quote from Gabe at the end too: Borchardt also has a new friend who might come in handy — Miles’ 10-year-old son, Gabe, who gave his dad heck after the exhibition game. “What are you doing?’’ Miles said Gabe told him. “You need to be playing Tanner at least nine minutes. I’m like, ‘Listen, kid, go to bed. Don’t you have some math to do?’ “I don’t want to hear it at home. So (Tanner’s) got a chance of playing.’’ Norm Peterson 1 Quote

hhcmatt Posted November 13, 2015 Report Posted November 13, 2015 There is so much BORCHARDT hype that during Shavon's presser he's asked 3 questions about BORCHARDT http://www.huskers.com/mediaPortal/player.dbml?id=4674499 Quote
49r Posted November 13, 2015 Report Posted November 13, 2015 Damn, and I'm usually pretty good about using the search feature! Thanks for the quick merge dimes. Quote
bobcat402 Posted November 13, 2015 Report Posted November 13, 2015 I was impressed with what he had to offer, likes miles said he's hard to move, sets good screens and understands what his role is, so im ok with him playing a few min when we need it against some teams, and providing an extra body. bobcat402 Posted November 13, 2015 Report Posted November 13, 2015 and i have a ton of respect for him, to walk away from football, that takes a lot of courage to walk away from a sport that your good at, and you have the size, because you realize you don't truly love it. Quote
Norm Peterson Posted November 13, 2015 Report Posted November 13, 2015 If this kid ends up seeing minutes AND if this ends up being a pretty good team, this is going to be a national story. This is Rudy and Hoosiers and The Blind Side and Teen Wolf all wrapped into one. Haymarket Husker 1 Quote

This is Rudy and Hoosiers and The Blind Side and Teen Wolf all wrapped into one. Whoa, whoa there Norm. Let's pump the brakes here just a little bit. It was a few garbage time minutes in an exhibition game blowout for goodness sakes. After all it's not like we're talking about a five star freshman set to make an immediate impact on his team or anything, He was second team all-state in C-1 in Nebraska! I mean, let's not get delusional here... Norm Peterson 1 Quote
Chuck Taylor Posted November 13, 2015 Report Posted November 13, 2015 Glass half full: We found a diamond in the rough who could help us overcome our main shortcoming, inside play. Glass half empty: Our roster is such that we're going to give minutes to a kid who was playing rec games on campus a month ago. Silverbacked1 and AuroranHusker 2 Quote
aphilso1 Posted November 13, 2015 Report Posted November 13, 2015 Chuck Norris' beard has only one fear: Tanner Borchardt. Also, I'm pretty sure Tanner was playing 1-on-5 in those Rec games and still winning them. Most impressive stat line? He had 12 assists. LET THE LEGEND OF BORCHARDT BEGIN! 49r, Silverbacked1, Red Rum and 1 other 4 Quote

atskooc Posted November 13, 2015 Report Posted November 13, 2015 I'm sure lots of people have. But I doubt anyone here has. :) Quote
