Swan88 Posted September 29, 2015 Report Posted September 29, 2015 Here is a Rivals print article on Victor Bailey with a video interview. He is being described on recruiting sites as a point guard, but in this video interview he says he projects at the next level as a 2 or a 3. He comes from an athletic family. According to the Rivals article: "Before moving to Austin, Bailey lived in Urbana and his mom was the women's track coach for the Illini. His father Victor Bailey Sr. played football at Missouri and in the NFL with the Eagles and Chiefs." In the interview he's asked who the best athlete in his family might be. The answer: he'd like to say it's him but can't because he hasn't played in the pros yet. Through the video interview, he comes across as a bright, thoughtful and well-spoken person--precisely the type of athlete Tim Miles & Co. always seem to recruit. AuroranHusker 1 Quote

Color me intrigued. Apparently, we're still in the running with this kid and he would definitely fit a position of need. colhusker 1 Quote
Norm Peterson Posted March 30, 2016 Report Posted March 30, 2016 I think this kid has some serious game. Perfect follow-up to ... '15 class with **** PG Watson, **** PF Morrow; '16 class with **** SF Roby and Rivals 150 PF Horne. P.S. If you thought a back court of Sr. White, Jr. Gill and So. Watson sounded intriguing, how about a backcourt of Sr. Watson, Jr. Roby and So. Bailey? Quote
ajb5856 Posted March 30, 2016 Report Posted March 30, 2016 And Miles' thing for lefties continues... Norm Peterson 1 Quote
ajb5856 Posted September 13, 2016 Report Posted September 13, 2016 Bump. Is this still a thing? A behind the scenes recruitment here or what? How are the fans on message boards supposed to discuss a quiet recruitment? Silverbacked1 1 Quote

How are the fans on message boards supposed to discuss a quiet recruitment? This is coming from me noticing that Miles is in Austin, Texas today (Round Rock is a suburb of Austin) It's possible he could also be there to see class of 2018 Matthew Mayer or someone that is neither of these guys Quote

How are the fans on message boards supposed to discuss a quiet recruitment? The coaches can't talk about who they're recruiting but Robin connected the dots This is a great reminder that fans only get a glimpse and we often have way more going on in recruiting than anyone realizes. We must be an option for Victor Bailey even though we had heard nothing since the beginning of 2016 and really nothing other than we had offered. Quote
huskerbaseball13 Posted September 14, 2016 Report Posted September 14, 2016 Hopefully Miles was able to set up a date for Victor to visit Nebraska. I see he has plans to visit Tulsa and Oregon in the next couple weeks. Quote
