I will be honest watching him on film I do not see him being a major contributor at any P5 school.  He doesnt look overly fluid, he didnt display any real moves in the post, and he looks to be easily pushed around by smaller players.  

I'll say he looked like he had a couple of moves.  There was a nifty up and under in there, but that might have been accidental.

 

What struck me was the lack of athleticism, taking into account he is a big guy.  He did not appear explosive throwing it down.  Not expecting guard-type athleticism from him, but a guy his size should still be able to dunk with authority and there were times it looked like he barely got to the rim.

Good golly folks what's not to like, I mean the kid was like 25 of 26 shooting in that video!    ;)  :lol:  

 

Seriously, hard to know how good the competition is in the film and in the snippets shown how well he plays defense and runs the floor.

 

Thats the thing that scares me honestly.  Thats a highlight film, I can only imagine what happens on the plays that end up on the cutting room floor.

Yeah.  This.  Like I said above, he ought to be able to dunk.  Shouldn't have any problem in that department.  So, a highlight film of dunks does nothing for me (especially the ones where he's wide open under the rim and just turns and throws it down.  Woo.  That's ... whelming.) 

 

And, when you appear to have to scrape the bottom of the barrel to find dunks where he's only just barely seeming to get it to the rim -- and that's included in the highlight film -- oooooh boy, that's not registering very high on my interest meter.  But, hey, I could be wrong.  It's happened many times before.

So . . . are the Florida, Arkansas, Colorado and Oregon State offers legit? Such recruiting competition seems to be pretty high level.

we offered him 6 days ago and florida just offered him 2 days ago. his offers seem to be blowing up, so i'd say we are lucky to be in his top 5.

This thread reminds me of the five stages of grief.  Norm's acceptance was the final stage.

Norm's acceptance was just acceptance of the fact that we offered the kid after both Kamdy and I were like meh.

 

Bein's I was never too excited about him, I jumped over all the stages of grief when he committed to Florida.  B)
