You heard right Norm, from the sounds of it we were lucky to even get her clear through her freshman year. Too bad, her potential had she stuck it out, was really high.

Don't mean to repeat everyones elses thoughts.....but....

Yes....very high potential....really too bad she's leaving.  Will always wonder if she'd had a better (and injury free) first year...she may have stayed. Good luck to her in the future. Seemed to be a great young lady.

Dang  ! :(

well, i wish her well. it is very disappointing. the longer that "homesickness" hangs on---just tough. you could see the potential, but, i had a feeling something wasn't clicking (after she came back from the injury). i had posted her offensive stats in an earlier post, and, they were pretty surprising. a bit shocking, really. someone could probably correct me, but, it seems many of her shots she did take were missing badly too. i guess now we may know unfortunate problem.

Wasn't part of the reason she picked Nebraska was because of our ag school?  I don't think Gonzaga has an ag school.  Maybe she changed majors.

i believe the coach from gonzaga had mentioned she was pretty confident chandler was going to commit during her hs recruitment. in chandler's mind,  the combination of the ag school and coach yori's strong basketball program lured her to nebraska---but, apparently her heart was with gonzaga all the time. ag school or not.

After looking at the Husker Guard position for the Australia trip the loss of Chandler Smith is much more serious than I first considered.  The attrition will really hurt the team for the upcoming season.  Maybe that is why the first two recruits are guards in the incoming class.

Really need to get Rachel T and Clark on the floor. That should change the backcourt picture.

We were real thin last year with all the freshmen...then losing Rachet T

And ....we lost the two better recruits in what was an excellent class.. both backcourt players....has to hurt.

if we stay healthy we won't miss her that much this year.  More the following year.  Kendal Clark is better than I think most people on this board realize.  She was Missouri valley mvp and avg. over 19 ppg as a jr.  Smaller league than the BIG, but still a very good league. Guessing she will be better than T or Brandi.

Also, jas has really improved, and nat should have a great year.   That gives you 4 good guards, and gives Maddie and whoever else time to work themselves in.

yes, would have been really nice if Chandler stayed---however, i really think Chandler would have faced some stiff competition. i think Huskers will be fine---even after this year.

hope kansashusker is correct about Kendall Clark.

I don't think we will miss her that much this year, or next.  I think the two 2016 commits are going to be really good, and for this year Kendall Clark will be an important asset.  I also look for Cincore to have a break out year.  The main thing is to stay healthy.
