Norm Peterson Posted February 19, 2016 Report Posted February 19, 2016 Apparently Shae Rush has signed to play for Roy Williams at North Carolina. Whoa. Quote

I think he had knee surgery. http://www.cbssports.com/nba/eye-on-basketball/20805684/brandon-rush-has-a-horrific-knee-injury-out-for-season-with-acl-tear Silverbacked1 1 Quote

colhusker Posted February 25, 2016 Report Posted February 25, 2016 Really wish they had played Hickman here in Columbia so I could have gone over and watch Jeriah. Quote

colhusker Posted March 3, 2016 Report Posted March 3, 2016 Booneville is not a real basketball power so the score does not surprise me. hhcmatt 1 Quote
colhusker Posted March 3, 2016 Report Posted March 3, 2016 If you're in the mid-Missouri area keep March 12 open as if both teams keep winning it will be Barstow vs Columbia Father Tolton. Could be a heck of a game with Horne and Michael Porter going up against one another. hhcmatt and AuroranHusker 2 Quote
AuroranHusker Posted March 4, 2016 Report Posted March 4, 2016 Boondocks, Booneviile. Same diff. colhusker 1 Quote
colhusker Posted March 9, 2016 Report Posted March 9, 2016 If I can swing it, going to duck over and watch Horne play tomorrow evening. Need to find my best Nebraska gear. hhcmatt 1 Quote
colhusker Posted March 11, 2016 Report Posted March 11, 2016 Got to watch Jeriah play this evening. He quietly put up 25 point, 8 Rebounds and 3 or 4 blocks. Game started with him being more defensive minded. Kid from Mountain Grove hit a 3 over him and turned and said something to him, you could see his demeanor change. Soft hands around basket, nice soft touch inside. good at the FT line (missed two after getting poked in the eye) only shot once from mid-range which he missed but it looked good. Not as thick as I thought he was going to be but not small, much bigger than the Rush kid who is going to North Carolina. Thought he looked much better than the Rush kid. Barstow has a pg that makes Watson look slow, he changes direction in a hurry and can go either direction. Guy next to me said this kid is getting Div 1 looks too. Hope to get back over Saturday for the finals. AuroranHusker 1 Quote

colhusker Posted March 11, 2016 Report Posted March 11, 2016 Not sure where he would get minutes from. Not tall enough to play 5, needs weight in the upper body to be a Big 10 4. Can shoot it in close well and can create with a quick drop step hhcmatt 1 Quote
colhusker Posted March 11, 2016 Report Posted March 11, 2016 One last thing, Jeriah can handle the ball a bit, he struggled taking he guy off the dribble early but Mountain Grove was triple teaming him near the basket so he didn't have much room. When he got it one on one, he beat his guy. All this said, of the two Div 1 prospects Barstow has in my opinion we got the better of the two based on last nights game. Quote

Well Rush is a walkon so I'd hope the guy getting a scholarship and ranked in the Rivals 150 is better than a D1 walkon no matter what school he is attending. Quote
hskr4life Posted March 11, 2016 Report Posted March 11, 2016 I didn't realize he was in the Rivals 150. WOW! Remember when Hammond signed and we were like "holy ****, we just signed a Rivals 150 basketball player." Now we sign players and don't even realize they were there. Next year our roster will include how many former Rivals 150 players? 7 maybe? Quote
