Taking a break from Deverell Biggs and whether we're drinking the Kool-Aid for thinking we can get to the dance or haters for thinking we can't ...

You know that segment during the first media break in the game where they show on the scoreboard people's #huskers or #Nebrasketball tweets?  Did you see who tweeted before the game about looking forward to his Huskers beating up on Minnesota?

My boy, Brandon Ubel, that's who.  All the way from Brussels Ubelgium.  In fact, he'd played in a game earlier yesterday, so the dude took time out of his schedule to follow Nebraska.

Brandon, if you get tired of Twitter (and who wouldn't?) please open an account here and join us.  You'd find a bunch of like-minded folks who admire and share your loyalty to the program.

Love it when the guys remain loyal to the program after they leave.  It says all the cheering we did for them was not lost.  It says, "I'm not just a mercenary.  I'm a Husker."  And the way Brandon tweets, he's a FAN!  Brandon, when you're old enough to drink, come look me up and I'll buy you a beer.  ;)

Ya know...maybe this is done already and I just don't notice it amongst all the other exciting events like the runza roundball rampage and the Embassy Suites Sweet Shot...but I'd like to see them have at least one game a year where they send out a mass invite to anyone and everyone who has played for the Huskers to come to the game and get recognized (kind of like they do at the football games.  Granted...there are a lot of guys pre 80 that I'm not going to remember (hell there's a couple guys that I don't recall playing that played over the past 30 years).  Either do it once a year with a mass recognition or just say come whenever you can.  I think a standing ovation for a former player would be a lot more exciting than some of the stuff they do during time outs. More positive energy than booing the refs (although I would have loved to have seen a rousing chorus of three blind mice yesterday a few times) while they go watch the TV to figure out who knocked the ball out.

This is already done.

I think we can get to the dance, I just don't think we will.

I looked at it and tried to find a way today and I just couldn't come up with a way.  Even if we win the rest of our home games I just don't see the committee taking a team with 0 road wins.

So we need to pick up a couple road wins.

I just think maybe the NCAA talk is premature since we haven't won back to back conference games in years.

That. And we haven't finished in the top 10 in the Big Ten. Baby steps, for sure.

I posted this in the Official Media Thread, but I'm not sure anyone actually looks at that, so for your perusal:

Michigan State SB Nation blog "The Only Colors" projects the B1G standings.  Spoiler alert.  We're picked to finish #8.

We may not be NCAA bubble worthy yet...but we may be closer than you think...
