Nebrasketballer Posted April 20, 2013 Report Posted April 20, 2013 Myles Turner: 6'11", 225 lbs, Center Rivals: 4-Star, #78 overall prospect in the 2014 class Link to Rivals profile: http://rivals.yahoo.com/ncaa/basketball/recruiting/player-Myles-Turner-134245 Quote
Nebrasketballer Posted April 20, 2013 Report Posted April 20, 2013 A growth spurt of a couple of inches has the junior from Euless (Texas) Trinity pushing 6-foot-11 and he's easily one of the hottest names in the junior class. An unranked three-star, Turner is a slender big man who can run the floor, has great length and very good hands. He's become a heavy target of Big 12 programs and has earned offers from places such as Kansas, Oregon State, USC, TCU, Texas A&M and SMU. Others with interest include Baylor, Oklahoma, Washington, Oklahoma State and Kansas State. Look for him to be a guy that coaches flock to see when he takes the floor alongside 2014's No. 2 player Emmanuel Mudiay on Texas Select this spring. http://basketballrecruiting.rivals.com/content.asp?CID=1466412 Quote
CornHoopsters Posted April 20, 2013 Report Posted April 20, 2013 This kid is by far the best looking big I've seen out of all the bigs we've been after lately! On tape anyway. Miles got in early on him and it sounds like, as of right now, we're still high on his current list of offers. Looks great in red and white! Nebrasketballer 1 Quote

And he is 6'11", 225 lbs as a Jr, so I wouldn't be surprised at all if he was up to 6'11", 250 lbs by the time his first day of college rolls around... He will be physically ready to get on the floor from day 1. Not a guy that has to spend 2-3 years in the weight room and cafeteria before he is a legit post player. Quote
Silverbacked1 Posted April 20, 2013 Report Posted April 20, 2013 BigTex what say you? You are our man in Texas. Quote
lang Posted April 20, 2013 Report Posted April 20, 2013 Watched about half of it....pretty heady, nice touch, good passer, lots of blocks, good motor, average hops (?). What do you guys see? Kansas has offered....well I guess that's good enough. Go get him coach !! Quote
GATA Posted April 20, 2013 Report Posted April 20, 2013 Whoa. Would be nice to get a big man of this caliber. GATA, coach! Quote

hal9000 Posted April 21, 2013 Report Posted April 21, 2013 Definitely the tallest tree in the forest in these videos. Remind me a little of Dwight Howard (wonder how his free throw shooting is ?). Quote
Neebraska Posted April 25, 2013 Report Posted April 25, 2013 The only thing that surprised me was he seemed just to be an average jumper, that being said I watched the whole video with my mouth open and drooling.... Quote
colhusker Posted May 16, 2013 Report Posted May 16, 2013 bump bumped for a reason or just to bump? Quote
nebrasketball10 Posted May 16, 2013 Report Posted May 16, 2013 Bumped for new news or just because?? Quote
Nebrasketballer Posted May 16, 2013 Report Posted May 16, 2013 Sorry, I referenced Myles Turner in another thread about who Nebraska's top 2014 targets should be now that the 2013 class is pretty much done, so I bumped it so people didn't have to go all the way back and search for it. Quote
colhusker Posted May 16, 2013 Report Posted May 16, 2013 No worries - Was tempering my excitment about seeing it come back to the top until I knew! Nebrasketballer 1 Quote
