For those too lazy to click on the link, it says Ole Miss is considered a possible landing spot.

Cause nothing says "a program that offers me the greatest chance of taking what I have learned over the last three years to the highest level," quite like Ole Miss basketball.

Not coming to Lincoln, so it doesn't matter, I suppose.  I would think that at least one the transfer mills of the sport, like Iowa State, Mizzou, Oregon and the Mountain West Conference would be in the mix, with Ole Miss and other SEC schools.

This is interesting

RT @GoodmanCBS: Purdue big man Sandi Marcius is leaving. Likely to graduate and be able to play immediately somewhere else next season.

He played about 10 minutes a game for the Boilers. He averaged 3.3 points and 2.5 rebounds per game. He goes about 6-9, 270.

Can graduate transfers relocate within the same conference?

No clue where the kid is from but the drive from Memphis to Oxford is not very long so it might be a reason to land there.

Not to mention Ole Miss isn't exactly a slouch when it comes to hoops...let us not forget they beat Wisconsin in the tourney.  They also finished second in the SEC last season.

Illinois coach John Groce told Illini fans today at a luncheon that Illinois is getting a transfer. There are rumors that it's Josh Davis, a kid from Seton Hall or a kid from Illinois State, for what it's worth.

He's from Memphis, and Ole Miss is respectable.  But, Memphis is a better program than Ole Miss, and the AAC, with Louisville for one year, should be decent for Black's Senior year (definitely better than C-USA).  Anyway, I just find his "highest level" comment a little funny if he ends up moving from Memphis to Ole Miss.

Aaron Cosby is the kid from Seton Hall:  http://www.thechampaignroom.com/2013/4/11/4212822/transfer-aaron-cosby-visit-illinois-missouri He's down to Illinois or Missouri.

I like the poll at the end of that blog post.  :)

He's making the argument that a transfer to Ole Miss wouldn't be an opportunity to take what he's learned over the past three years to the highest level...since Memphis would presumably offer play at a higher level than Ole Miss...especially now that they will be playing in the newly formed American Athletic Conference against Louisville and UConn, among others if he'd stay at Memphis...

"It is critical that I find a program that offers me the greatest chance of taking what I have learned over the last three years to the highest level," Black said in a press conference held at his Memphis home, attended by the Commercial Appeal. "Could I remain at Memphis and achieve the same? Quite possibly. But since as a graduate student I can play ball immediately next year, why not take advantage of this unique situation to gain a new perspective so that I can combine what I've learned at the U of M and what I will learn wherever I am next year in hopes of enhancing my versatility as a student-athlete?"

yeah my mind wasnt reading that correctly.  When I read the AAC, I saw ACC and was like he wont be there when they make the move in 2014.

Not a terribly impressive video for the Lancona kid.  Having said that, it's better than anything I saw from Atewe.

Agree

+2.... It looks like this kid loves to play basketball.  He is a hustler on the defensive, and attempts to make the hustle plays.   Does not look to be overly athletic, but can shoot and dribble a little.  Is a 2*, but I am one that does not put a bunch of faith in stars.  One thing I did notice that in the similiar forwards it shows Alex Foster.

Is there any link beyond that guy tweeting at Tim Miles?

Not that I know of.  That's the only connection that I can find, but who knows

Regarding Memphis transfer Tarik Black...

The Gophers want Black but they need to get in line. He has received interest from 20 schools, according to CBSSports.com’s Jeff Goodman. Among the programs interested are Duke and Kansas.
